**** Official Titan owners thread. ****

So you havent once said its not as good as you hoped? And that your a bit dissapointed in it?

It was limited until it sold well.

Im not trolling at all i havent said anything that hasnt already been said :\

Well yeah im sorry i went a bit offtopic but this is what the last few pages have been talking about.

Barely noticeable to what even I can see quite a difference between a 680 and a Titan. It's about a third quicker in just about everything. The Titan is not as quick as a 690 in games that support Sli but it generally has higher min fps which is no bad thing.

Personally I feel as a gaming card for today's games the 690 is a better card but who knows what's around the corner and Titan is still very early in it's life as a desktop gpu.

I will admit I did expect a little more for the £800+ asking price but there you go.

Correct me if i'm wrong but is this not "The Officail Titan owners thread"

So could someone explain why we seem to have people who do not even own this card trolling this thread

There is my thread and please show me from there, where I said "it wasn't as good as I hoped" and also show me where I said "I am a bit disappointed in it".

If you can't, please stop with this, 'putting words in my mouth' I am very pleased with them and have no wish to send them back/swap them/bin them...I am not sure where you keep getting my thoughts from?

You have been asked to supply a link/proof of where Nvidia have said it was a limited card. You can't, so stop going on about rumours being fact.

Feel free to post here if you can be constructive and not tell lies, if not, stay out.

The bitterness of not being able to get one yet fills them rage.. It boils up inside them until they can't take it anymore and must troll in order to make themselves feel better..

Oooh it's expensive..

Oooh it downclocks..

Oooh Lara's hair ! (Oh wait that was another thread)

:D

Mine sits happily at 1100 on the core. When it hits 80.c the fan ramps up a bit but the clocks stay the same.

Mine jumps up and down like I was when I didn't get my order when I was expecting it :D

Not fussed because it performs far better than any card I know of and I know it will get sorted.

It seems that people say it didn't throttle when under water, or it didn't throttle when it got hot...I was wrong sitting indoors with a coat on whilst benching it seems :p

:D Your mad...

Mine seems pretty stable the fan spins up and down a fair bit. Tbh gaming I see very little if any difference over stock tbh.

I will be doing overclocked testing at 5760*1080 over the weekend and will post the results up. I found at 1080P, it did give great boosts but I imagine at the larger res, it won't show as much.

I can only put 140+ on my boost any more and it resets the drivers. Tbh I have not played about too much as I have been comparing it to a 690 most of the day.

To the chap saying it is not much different have a look at these heaven results.

My Titan is at No-6 and was run completely stock. Look at the clocks 8 pack is putting into that 7970 at No - 7. A stock Titan with weaker cpu is nearly 300 points ahead. Titan is not about price/performance its just about performance.

I got my first crash at +140 whilst benching Crysis 3 yesterday and dropped my clocks to +130 Core and +200 memory and didn't have a failure/crash all day whilst testing various games.

I think the chap who is saying "Not much difference" was just looking for a reaction.... Clearly there is a difference and nobody can deny the Titans are very fast. I wish they was a little cheaper, so I could start recommending them. I have had to press the delete key so often when people ask for a recommendation because I write Titan :D

Mine has been on +140 core and +250 memory all day with out issue, good temps and boost. If I put the core to +145 it crashes the drivers almost instant even though the temps are perfect.

They are silly money and tbh worth half of what they demand but it's always the same if you want the best you need to pay which is a pain.

They are silly money but drop them to £700 with maturer drivers and I will recommend them to peeps with 'deeper pockets' and big resolutions.

Has any one swapped 670 sli for one of these yet ?

Im tempted as ive been having some poor scaling of late I dont know if its a placebo effect :o

Well Mr May, I just looked at the 3DMark11 thread and a single Titan is scoring the same points as some of the SLI 670's (GFX Scores).

Pretty impressive IMO.

Brave, brave man to volt mod his Titan (FTW420). I don my cap to him :)

Is that FTW from OCN's benching teams mod??? I need to volt mod mine. 1.21v is a joke!!!

I PM'd FTW to ask him. I am doing it.

I'll don my cap to you if you try it but if you fry it, it's LtMatt's fault ok?.

:D

Seriously though, why not get a very cheap second hand card in the MM or maybe a few of them from the bay of e that can be volt modded so you can practise?. When you gain confidence and have experienced it I think you'll be fine. This way it won't cost you nearly £900 if you mess up. I wouldn't try my first hand on a card at that price but I would gaining confidence from cheap cards. Come on Greg, you know you want it, more powaaaaa :D.
