Who owns a 350z/370z?

how do you guys generally find running costs? i only cover a 16 mile round trip each day to work, am kind of tied between this and a mk1 audi tt (1.8T)
 
Having only had mine a couple of weeks its hard to tell other than fuel however I've been running it to work instead of the Smart since getting it and I'm getting around 22-24mpg on a 18 mile trip from south Brum to Dudley each day, a trip my Smart manages to get 40mpg on.
 
Running costs are ok, the Mrs does 50 miles a day in hers down A roads and manages 26-27mpg. We found the 350z to be much more intincing than even the Mk2 Audi TT. Better drive, more power and the engine sounds sooo much better.

Reasons:
Mine is silver, with the opportunity i could switch to Black, Grey, Orange any of which id prefer
Better engine, and on 313hp models its also mounted lower for better center of mavity
Handling reportedly a lot better
RE50 tyres already on the car, as opposed to me upgrading them myself from the crappy RE40s
Already has the LED rear headlamps, again rather than me buying them as an upgrade
Headlights are Bi-Xenon
Fob can actually be set to open both doors, rather than constantly annoying my passenger because I forgot to blip it again to unlock theirs. Also adds opening boot and winding windows up/down from remote.

Cons: £470 tax if that bothers you.
 
Guys im looking to get my 350z serviced, i live in NW london - any good garages to get it done? Ill check the local nissan dealerships, but does anybody any goof independent garage nearby?
 
As an owner of two prior 200SX (S14a and S13) I would say "DO IT!".

Just watch out for the cost of the MAP sensor. (Around £500 if they go). Other than that...350/370 epic cars.

I do really want to :D What was the spec of your sx's? With having less weight and about 330ish bhp i don't know if the 350 may feel a bit sluggish to the sx?
 
Seriously considering buying a 350z in the next week or so. A nearby dealer has an '07 plate 313 GT listed at just under £11k. Seems in perfect condition with 48k on the clock.

Anything to consider before buying? Coming from an SW20 MR2 I guess the only negative is the £490 tax and slightly higher running costs but neither concern me.

The only thing I don't like on the car is the rear wiper. For such a sleek car, it's awfully clunky. Really trivial issue anyway :p
 
You can easily remove the rear wiper - I am currently thinking about it!

Took mine for a blast today and I noticed it has quite a metallic noise at full throttle higher up the rev range. Anyone else get that noise? Sounds smooth upto like 75% throttle and at lower revs, but further up it just sounds a little less smooth. Just part and parcel of a chain engine?

Also loving cleaning it - coming from the Focus ST with 30,000 spokes the 6 spokes takes like 25 seconds to wash :)
 
Really close to buying one I went to see today. I forgot to write down the reg to check but the guy maintains that it doesn't have the GT Pack, yet it has the BOSE stereo, heated electric leather seats and cruise control (but not the sat nav). Are there any other noticeable differences?

Bizarrely I'm getting cheaper insurance quotes on a 313bhp GT than a 296bhp non-GT...

The spec you quote sounds like it IS the GT pack? The sat nav isnt part of the GT pack as standard. Having said that the seller wouldnt really do himself down by saying it isnt the GT pack if it was. What reg is it?
