*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Nope.worked for a supps company freelance doing up their labels, waiting on a years worth of stuff but they are waiting for it to be delivered so had to find something to hold me over.

went with TPW Strawberry with the sample for Vanilla ( many thanks Syla5 for the Ref code)

Im not a heavy user, but got buckets of the stuff any any other supps they did in the range, but I just always end up using Protein, along in the morning and just Post workout, prefer food in most cases.

Would love to run a poll, out of say freefaller/icecold/LiE/DjDom/morba/radicalry/me, (top five lifters plus some also rans) who will not use unflavoured whey?

I like it tbh, tastes like creamy milk when mixed with water.

Unflavoured whey is fine if using it for shakes. But seeing as I only use whey on top of my oats these days, unflavoured? No thanks Jeff

Dat poverty whey time

That description is enough to put me right off TBH lol.

I've found it varies batch to batch. I got one a few years ago and it was lovely, got one late year and it tasted like feet in comparison.

Most of it is down to insulin response anyway. With a western diet, even a fairly clean one, we consume very regular carbohydrates. Our bodies become conditioned to the abundance of free glycogen and the insulin/glucagon balance becomes altered. If you eat very low carb, as nature somewhat intended, along with intermittent fasting. You will suffer far less side effects to low blood sugar training, in the main due to your body better releasing glycogen from storage.

Spot on.

Whilst I don't "follow" a diet, I try and eat as close to nature intended, hence my boring fastidious nature and comments on processed/refined foods.

I have unflavoured w/Flavdrops just because it's cheaper than buying flavoured and you get marginally more protein p/gram IIRC. Find the taste of whey on it's own is rank.
