Supplements the debate/discussion thread

I like TPW, the flavours are great and natural rather than artificial

Good one bro

No, I made an account with them and will use them (including using your referral code). Just don't go round putting everyone off MP because of one bad experience you had

And don't go making up some rubbish about TPW suddenly flavoring their products in some new and unique way

So I need to restock on whey and some creatine.

Is the general OcUK consensus to use TPW now and not Myprotein (who I used in the past) these days?

TPW appear to be cheaper on some products. I just gave TPW a bash because I had a recent bad experience with MP, I've used them for years too but found the CS to be laughable.

People can make their own minds up, that's fine. I've had bad experiences as have 5+ others on here. If a company treats me like **** I'm not going to go out of my way to recommend them am I?

I like the company, I will happily spread the word.

Hmm, I've not had a problem with MP yet. Their prices on Whey Isolate is also a tad cheaper, among other things.

I might give TPW a try next time on some other orders.

That's fine, no problem you doing that. Just don't make statements along the lines of "Myprotein are crap" as fact because of experiences of a few. Pretty sure 99% of the members here have used MP at some point since posting in the Gym Rats/Supplements thread, and the majority of them will continue to do so without any issue.

It's just a shame to try and tarnish a companies name that has served you and others so well over the years because of a bad couple of months that they themselves acknowledged.

Like I said, TPW will be exactly the same when they take off properly. It's easy to have good customer service when your customer base is so much smaller

I was hardly over zealous in my thoughts on MP.

MP are cheaper, but the customer service is bad.

I have edited my original post about natural flavours, because I haven't really looked into MP flavouring. I do know that TPW promote their natural flavouring so it's more obvious to me.

It won't be any different to Myprotein, OneOn, Bulksupplements Direct etc etc. Chances are they are just buying it from a supplier and aren't actually doing anything to the product themselves

There are only so many ways you can flavour a product like Whey, and if they really did use natural ingredients and a different way of flavouring the product, these extra costs would be passed on to the customer

It's like that documentary on food the other month on BBC about how much fruit is in it or how it's made, there is nothing by law stopping someone claiming a food is naturally flavoured even if it uses artificial flavouring, something to do with the way the flavouring is made or some loophole

My favourite supplier - BSD - are currently not supplying whey protein as they're trying to secure new suppliers. :( My loyalty to them was owing to an acquaintance owning/running the business, and as such trust the product more and I know the quality is good. I've never been a fan of MP - I just don't find their products that interesting. However, I;'m hardly a proponent of the supplement industry so I'm a bad example. The only thing I REALLY like about TPW is the fact you can create your own mix - but even then they don't have all the products I'd want. I just hope TPW stick to supplements only and don't start selling gym equipment too. Focus on one thing and excel at it.

I prefer unflavoured anyway, and just add cinnamon/chocolate powder into it. Sure, it's not "perfect" but it's cheaper and easier - and since my shakes are taken on training days and / or on days where poor food has been eaten (which is rare these days) I don't get through a lot.

I bought a few bits and bobs from BSD initially, hope they manage to secure a new supplier.

My TPW order arrived, as expected :)

Still waiting to hear from MP regarding the item missing from my order :/

Round it down to 14, or up to 15 for a start :p

Myprotein will say what each scoop weighs if you have a scoop, if not, time to buy some digital scales
