*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

I know I don't have an entitlement, but if there were 3 phones available, say HTC One, XZ and the GS4, the first 2 being priced at £500 and the latter £630, which one would you buy? I would have thought Sammy would want to price their phone close to their competitors?? This is my whole point, I know they CAN charge whatever they want, but is it unfair to overcharge?

I'd buy whichever one suited me, £100~ doesn't matter if it means you get something inferior.

I think in the first couple of weeks there will be stock shortages and those who thought holding off was a good idea may regret it.

I can't imagine there being any great shortages at all, but unless your situation is desperate in terms of needing a phone then a couple of weeks doesn't matter.

Phones4u seem to have a decent deal on EE 4G. Very tempted:

Free Phone
+£85 worth of accessories
+£50 Google Play voucher
+£100 Quidco

£41 a month, 1 GB Data but with all the above factored in a little less.

I have an S3 now with GiffGaff..Use less than 500mb per month of data, but I'm still in two minds if the S4 is worth the upgrade.

Thoughts?

Is that over 24 months? Total spend of £984 before quidco if so.

If you're using less then 500mb a month, then you're paying to much to be honest on that deal.

Hmmm going of GSM Arena, looks like they skimp abit on the video quality & picture settings this time around on the S4 as the FOV is a lot narrower than the GS3 when recording video, also video quality slightly worst aswell. :/

Plus you don't have as many camera setting to play with when taking pictures, like ya did on the S2 & S3.

Does anyone care that the S4 doesn't have an FM radio?

I don't think I've ever used the radio feature on any of my previous phones.

I do, they have filled it with crap like Group Play and Air View and left out an actual useful feature like a fm radio... even my 2001 Nokia 8310 had a radio....

Surely thousands of people pre ordering will keep the price artificially high.

If no-one pre-ordered then manufacturers would have to look at their launch prices.

The fact that the price is high and people are still pre-ordering means that they have set the price either bang on or too low
