Don't you find upon a second watch you pick up on a lot more things and get drawn into the series a little more? Especially as you are already pretty familiar with things.

I do anyway.


Either way - very much looking fwd to the new series. Have taken a break half way through a Dance with Dragons reading wise a few weeks back. I've gone straight through all the preceding bookins since Jan... took me till now to get all Sevon Kingdomed out and want to be fresh for the series.

Rewatching means you notice a lot more things you missed first time; like Melisandre's ruby necklace glowed when she drank the poisoned wine given to her by maester Cressen.

Rereading the books means you notice lots of events are actually pretty well signposted in advance; definitely including certain wedding.
 
Really looking forward to this tonight :)

This and Boardwalk are the only things I put the effort in to watch live rather than recorded.

I won't be shocked as he is super fat and quite old too, but I will still be incredibly annoyed if I don't get a satisfying end to the series. Although the final books could be disappointing even if he makes them I suppose.
