**** Official Titan owners thread. ****

Was the same with 680s. Loads of us got them for £400-420 on release day and we were "stupid" and then they shot up in price to £460-470 and people then wanted one :D.

+1

If I am going to buy a new card, I always try and get it on launch day, this reduces the chances of me being shipped a card that has previously been DSRed.

If then I do get a card that is a poor performer, then that is my hard luck, I took my chances in the silicon lottery and lost. I don't believe in DSRing stuff on the grounds it is a poor clocker and will keep the items as long as they do what it says on the box @stock clocks.

I think that way. The DSR system is blatantly abused, it was never intended for what people seem to do with it.

I've done it before, being honest and did feel a degree of shame.

Back to the Titan, I can finally play Sleeping Dogs with awesome settings. This card is just a beast.

I did a mild +100 GPU offset overclock and got up to 13500 in 3DMark 11 and then it occurred to me that I don't need it. I don't need to OC.

Insert card, install drivers = all games rock.

Seems like everyone on this forum has a Titan now. I don't think even Nvidia expected to sell that many. How many of you would/could buy a Titan Ultra with 30% more performance for £2000?

I just checked a competitors site, and their prices are between 100 - 150 lower than ocuk, the same as they were on launch. So I don't really understand it.

Absolutely no chance for me.

£800 odd was my upmost limit and thats only because I could think of two 680s and go "Hmmm ok".

The thing with Overclokers Price is simple they have the stock in ! :o But they are ripping the **** now ! glad I got my two not long ago for £862 each OKuK wouldn't even price match which is poor also

I understand. They know the Titan is selling very well and they want to profit from it's success. Stock of that EVGA Sig Ed is also very limited. The price will only go even higher.

Agh, dammit - they better not keep putting the Titan prices up, I'm planning to buy all my components in June; maybe I should've bought the Titan when it first came out and kept it somewhere safe.

The one I want (EVGA SC) is now £1000, I can't afford for it to go up by too much more.

Wow !
I would really like to know how many of these cards Nvidia expected to sell and how many have sold World wide ?
My conclusion is, they do, if they did not before, now know they can get top money even when everyone said it was too expensive !
I can now see them directing an bigger interest in true high end/ price more in the future ;)

Truly expensive cards have been made ever since ASUS started making the MARS and ARES based cards imo. Theres a market for that level of performance in terms of raw power and thermal/accoustics

This is the hottest I have managed to get mine to run

1600ph4.jpg

It was a one off running Heaven 4 @1600p overclocked one of the GPUs reached 90c. With everything else I have run overclocked the temps don't go above 81c -82c max. It is just on Heaven 4 @1600p I get very good scaling and it really works the GPUs.

How long until you stick blocks on?. :)

I didn't really want the XSPC one that much, i would much rather have had the aquacomputer one but it would be another ten days or so before there was stock and i really couldn't stand seeing 80c temps so i just tried this.

At the moment OCUK are out of stock so I will have to wait.:(

I did like the aquacomputer one but they are quite restrictive and 4 of them may have been too much for my pumps.

What are you cards idling at? Mine's sat at 50 but the room temperature is pretty low. Seems high to me?

How many cards do you have?, if it's just one i would think there is something running in the background raising the temp.

I read that there is a recent windows update that is causing cards to run hotter.. need to find the info again.
