The UEFA Women's Champions League final on the 23rd May at Stamford Bridge will be between the holders Olympique Lyonnais and VfL Wolfsburg.

Just looked up some stats on Giroud and Podolski in the prem:

PLAYER Giroud Podolski
GAMES 33 29
STARTED 24 21
SUB 9 8
GOALS 11 9
ASSISTS 3 9
SHOTS 107 45
ON TARGET 38 16

How on earth does Giroud get such a lot of game time considering Podolski is always played on the left and has been substituted off in nearly every game he has started. He is far and away our best finisher yet never gets played centrally and I'm guessing Wenger will stick Walcott or Gervinho up front instead of Podolski against Man United.

Or better still, take a perfectly good player and completely and utterly destroy him by not starting him but instead giving gormless gimps a starting place in the squad.

Reminds me of Arshavin, the way Wenger treated him...its deja vu with Podolski:(. Hopefully im wrong in saying that but rumours now circulating that Pod might be leaving in the summer.

Well at least the 3 match ban for Giroud has been upheld so can only hope that Wenger starts Pod either through the middle or on the left wing. I just dont understand Wenger and why he starts crap players rather than our good players:confused: Why buy good players if you wont play them??
