********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

RDR had bullet-time (Dead Eye I think it was) and it worked pretty well there, although you didn't have automatic weapons or anything so it made more sense in that respect.

Yea true I didn't mind it in RDR but if you have a massive gaming world with hours of gameplay and everything takes ages to get to surely it will only drag it out longer? Also feels like cheating with snipers/ carbines/ machine guns with bullet time

I don't want to see any more, I keep checking this thread and every screenshot, video and preview makes me sad because it isn't here yet :(

The ones of characters up close don't interest me, but as soon as I can see cool looking scenery, interesting stuff in the background, nice roads etc I get all excited.

I hope they don't end up delaying it, pretty sure every other GTA has been delayed at some point.

Hopefully this time they'll honor their dates, unless they plan an "accidental" setback that allows them to launch it on PS4/next XBOX console at the same time, wll be interesting in itself to see what happens with the upcoming generation & GTA V.

Closeups of characters are all very well, but if it plays like GTA 4 with Saints Row-esque character movements (more fluid) and a very good impact engine, it'll be great!

Also +1 for keeping in the GTA 4 driving physics, they made the game 10x more fun imo :)

It already has been delayed. It was originally scheduled for Spring 2013

Watching the newest character trailers it looks as though they have injected some of the humour back into the game and improved the awful car handling. Looks to be a definite improvement over IV.

No news yet but I think it's safe to say that it will.

When though is anyone guess unfortunately, I just hope it's the same time or soon after the console versions. Really don't want to be buying an XBox just to play this. :(

Still no news as to whether this will be coming out on PC or not?

Apparently the German Amazon had it listen, no idea on the date though.

Not sure who to preorder with, haven't done it with Game since they messed up with my ME3 preorder, but they are cheaper than gamestop who I usually use. How are Amazon wit dispatch/delivery times?

If you go with the quickest delivery option, I imagine it'd get to you on release day. ShopTo are generally considered to be the best, games usually arrive a day before release. Think I've only used them once though, they're far too expensive in my opinion.

I pre-ordered with Tesco, £5 off code made it £34.99, although I'll keep an eye out for any other offers nearer the time. I've already pre-ordered The Last Of Us with them so that'll be a good indicator as to whether they can deliver on release day or not.

I'll probably pre-order through Amazon, everything I've pre-ordered through them has been dispatched on release date instead of the day before, but I find their prices competitive for the most part. The customer support is good and the postage is reliable which is why I'll go with them again despite having to wait an extra day compared to certain e-tailers, I've waited this long for GTA, I'm sure I can manage an extra 24 hours after release. :p
