Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Damn been meaning to order some for a whole now :(

At least 1kg lasts a good 4 months for me so works out at £15 a month which is not to bad really
 
Guess I won't be buying OAKG anymore! :D

while im usually like that and not really into supps...i had a strain in my groin region that wasnt going away in 6-7 months (now gone)...and tendoitis in arm seems to be clearing a bit. Taking OAKG for 3-4 weeks now....i dont usually believe in suplements, but something is helping for sure. So might take the 30 quid hit to get another 3-4 weeks worth :)
 
I don't notice anything in terms of recovery with OAKG, it's purely sleep benefits I see, and I'm not even sure that's all down to OAKG but because I take zinc pre bed along with more taurine now.

I take 25g per night too so I'm not even underdosing. I was happy to keep it in at the discounted price, but meh, not paying the full price

recovery..i hadnt noticed much....but injury helping..maybe. You take so much stuff anyway :) I was only takeing 12-13g per day
 
My Rhodiola rosea arrived yesterday, 4% rosavins, I ordered the powder and capped it myself, interested to see how it goes

10g iBCAA
10g Leucine
10g Taurine
10g D Aspartic Acid
5g HMB
5g Psylium Husk

GAINZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, I have the same in the morning minus the OAKG and Taurine

Im pretty much same as you Steedie, people say its expensive but other than road cycling equipment i don't really have much other hobbies to spend my money on. Addicted to gainz bro

Do you cycle your D Aspartic Acid?

I got the tabs from mp, recommends either 1 week on 1 week off, or 4 on 3 off. Ive been doing the 1/1.
 
I'll keep on it the whole time I'm on the Um bongo tbh, it's supposed to be good for keeping the junk ticking over without using heavier stuff

Surely, injuries going is a form of recovery? :p

I found that on oakg my recovery between workouts is better, my sleep is better, leading to better recovery as well, and the period and intensity of doms is less, and this isnt for lack of hard work :D

I dont take a lot of stuff

12-14g OAKG
5-10g Leucine
5-10g Glutamine
5-10g creatine (not taking at the moment, doing a mini creatine and caffeine detox before holiday break and no supps for 2 weeks!)

Thats my lot. Also as my only main hobby i am happy to spend some money on the things that appear to work for me.

I am going to keep an eye on the MP OAKG as it might go down again after this 50% sale thing they have on for the next couple of days. Sounds strange but this is MP we are talking about here :)

I wouldn't bother with 1 week on...

The only study on D Asp that I can find (for humans) indicates that 6 days does not yield a statistically significant increase in... anything: statistically significant increases were noted after 12 days.

TL;DR

Don't trust supplement companies to come up with anything relevant from a dosing perspective. ;)
 
OK Bros sorry to be annoying but can someone aware me on what DAA does? To my limited knowledge it has something to do with test levels but that sentence is the extent of my knowledge :p.
 
It's basically just that, bro. Increases natural test production. If you look at most natty test boosters, DAA is usually one of the core ingredients.

It does work, and even before the Tour De France, I noticed good results from it. You need to take more than the recommended dose, as is usually the case, but it's worth it :)
 
Ah right, ive been taking 9-10gg a day, doing the 1week on 1 week off split, maybe i should be going for 3 weeks on 3 weeks off?
 
Don't even do that mate :) if you've got the 250g bag then just do it until that runs out. If more, 4-6 weeks at a time isn't going to do anything at all
