**CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 650D OWNERS THREAD** ALL QUESTIONS HERE.

I have that fan fitted. Doesn't seem to spin that fast. I had it fitted to my H100i controller and it couldn't get faster than 700rpm I think. Tried it on the case fan controller as well. Am I doing something wrong?

I thought that but then I plugged it onto it's own cable. Will have a play at the weekend as I really want it drawing more air for my graphics cards.

I believe it goes up to 900RPM. It moves just as much air as the only other alternative - the coolermaster 200mm fan, but thankfully is not as noisey! ;)

You can disable the LEDs by removing a bridging cable on those fans.

And I too can confirm the depth is fine, my HDs are still in the front with the Spectre Pro in place.

I have the filter for the side intake. It does the job but is very pricey for what it is. If I was to do it again, I'd wrap the side mesh in a nylon fine grade material from a UK stockist.

The front one is fine, just needs regular cleaning.

How do you clean the front filter?

I've tried but I don't see a way to remove the filter from the plastic cover.

As in removing the filter from the front of the case or removing the material from the plastic and metal shell?

Which one lol?

If its the first then you just push the filter at the top and it pops out of the case. If it's the second one then you don't really need to do that. Just take a hoover to it while it's out or put it under water and dry off.

The hoover doesn't do jack. I'll try the sink!!!

:D

I bought a dust filter for the back fan as I use it as a intake (h100i with fans on top taking air out).

However I had to take it off 5 minutes later. It is soooo noisy! I think I might have to have a rethink about my airflow but I need to keep my xfire cards cool. Might not have been the case to go with.

This is what has always put me off trying xfire/sli, in any case.

Right guys,

I have everything I need to remove front and rear fan grilles and tidy it up.

But I am looking at a red theme for my case now and would like to remove the white LEDs on the front and replace them with red ones.

I've looked through this thread and can see some discussion about it, but what did people go for in terms of size in the end? 10mm? The voltage as well, what should I be looking at?

Cheers

Hey!

After taking delivery of this wonderful case yesterday along with the Corsair H100i.

Currently I have it set up like this :

qm3QLtP.jpg

Top fan pushing air out, 2 on the H100i pushing air out and the bottom fan pulling air in!

I am wondering if I have the fan's set up right?
Which should be connected to the bored?
Which should be connected to the fan controller if any?

Thanks
