Call of Duty: Black Ops II

what are the real alternatives to this on a console though?

i got resistance 3 for a fiver at christmas and it's laughable how bad it is.

i wish CS:GO has been released in europe on psn but it wasn't for some reason and most likely never will be. valve really messed up there on that one.

any of you tried starhawk?
 
there was a free weekend on steam for this, installed it to play with my friend and the game played great. hit detection was fantastic.

as soon as monday hits, the hit detection is back to its old ways. constantly getting killed round corners getting several shots off only for them not to be seen on killcam.

wouldnt put it past treyarch to fix hitreg for free weekend to con people into thinking the game works.

gone from scores like 59/11, 34/4 to 10/30 etc.

cod should play perfectly considering its the same game every year and it generates billions.

less money on actors for your DLC adverts more investment in netcode.
 
Assuming ghost or whatever it's called is on the current engine, that means trayarch will release on a new engine and imagine the mess that will be, based on the fact their netcode is so bad. The maps will probably be all dlc then, so you get a base game and will have to pay for any mp maps. No thanks.
 
Is the matchmaking broken for everyone or just me? Every match I get put in a lobby full of either French or Spaniards, even when set to "best".

Yep, which is interesting because you didn't prestige? I prestiged and am getting the same, therefore it can't take prestige level into consideration, maybe just rank? Maybe people in the uk just gave up ranking up? I rarely get UK people now, hell, even got Americans the other day.

I think they have just messed around with grouping the whole if Europe and cocked it all up again.

Oh and ghosts is supposed to be a new engine, hopefully one that is able to funnel all the extras through the netcode.

I still believe there is so much info now in the game, from emblems to player cards to camos to weapon camo that the code simply can't cope, hence why mw2 plays so bloody well.

It would make sense.

With Battlefield and the frostbite 2 engine, they just turned a load of stuff off to get it to run on the 360 / PS3. Only the PC had the full whack.

Now with the next gen consoles its predicted that they can leave pretty much everything on this time. It makes sense to code the same game using the same engine, then just drop the detail levels on the lower spec'd machine.

Yup I'm just vanilla 55 so like you've said it can't be based on level/rank and on the lobby leaderboard there are always people with low SPM as well as high SPM so it can't be matching up based on skill. I think the same thing as anticonscience, that they've messed with the matchmaking, screwed something up and now the whole of Europe have just been chucked together. Earlier I was playing against Finnish people, first time that's happened for me this year.
 
Wow the matchmaking has been soooooooooooo bad the past 2 nights on xbox. It could barely find enough people for a full game half the time and when it did it was proper jerky laggy rubbish as opposed to the lag comp rubbish you normally see. Maybe its my internet but it seems normal on think broadband monitor.

I see Souljas gone back to MW3 - how are you finding that? I cant remember what the main criticism of it was back in the day... I thinkI'll have to dig my copy back out, I never really played the last map pack on that because they released it so late on.
 
Me and a few others decided to go back and give it a go. I actually enjoyed it and it was nice to play the some of the old maps. Hardhat, mission etc... It's also nice not to die from anything as soon as you've spawned! You have a few seconds of protection.
