CM Wiz with wicked wind, slow time, frost nova, explosive blast, diamond skin and storm armour shockingaspects. Pretty standard build really but I am a novice with the build. Would send a link but I am in work and cant access battlenet.

Frost nova freezes everything so that you can spam the wicked wind so can attach large mobs at the same time. Seemed better suited to this build with new patch as monsters seem to attack in larger numbers.

Si (he's my bro!!) give it another go, its changed a fair amount now.

Crafting has become very nice now, they introduced bind on account item plans, so you can actually craft up some decent stuff, that is usable. Elites, rares, goblins, bosses and resplendent chests can now drop a "demonic essence" that you can then use to craft these items. I think my ammu, bracer and shoulders are crafted, but I could also do the gloves etc.

WD is pretty uber when equipped correctly and fortunately for you the AH prices on anything other than almost perfect rolls are very cheap, so you can get some "good enough to farm higher mp" for not much cash.

You still get a lot of junk Legi's but as said before, you also get crafting materials now that can also be used for items.

This new patch, with all its awsome monster density changes also made it much more group friendly. You will now get a MF\GF\EXP boost I believe for each player in the group and they removed the caps on them so if no ones online just join public groups etc.

As an example im farming on act 1 now, I do 3 maps + any associated dungeons in those maps that might spawn and I usually pickup 2 legi per run. Last night on 1 run I had 5 drop. OK im paragon 100, so my MF is high, but youll still see plenty of drops now. This was on MP8, I can do 10 but I get crazy killing streaks on 8 and the runs are faster.

I don't get much luck crafting stuff. Have crafted loads of amulets using brimstones and all junk.

Picked up a grand conquest sword plan last night and wasted 1 mil very quickly - all junk.

I know that other people have had luck on this but I have stopped crafting weapons, amulet etc as there is no guarantee.

I have crafted hundreds, maybe even in the thousands now, so I know what you mean!

BUT, when they are good, they are very good.... I'd say my crafts that im wearing at the moment are mediocre but they are still decent upgrades for me. Basically I just do a bunch of crafting once I have a few gold in the bank and the demonic essences are 50 to 100 etc.

I am one of the un lucky players that never gets a decent drop, if you check my profile you will see my gear isnt that great for the almost 1100 hours invested and im always broke, but I still have fun!

Might have to look into that. Not looked at crafting anything since trying it in the original release and thinking "what a waste of time"

I've recently leveled up a Wizard, having great fun using her in Inferno difficulty farming MP3 in multiplayer. Not immense damage but nice utility when playing with others. Seems to be a legendary magnet too, had high dps manticore with int instead of dex drop the other day - sold for 6m which is my best yet. But getting lots of other things that are interesting albeit fairly worthless.

Didn't get a single legendary drop though, but I think next time I'll either up the MP or change to an even higher dps fit.
 
I found crafting to be just as frustrating as before it was changed but for different reasons. Its a huge gold sink and to counter that it very hard to make enough to waste making trash in order to get anything you cant buy from he ah for a bucketload less!
I soon gave up on crafting again, but good luck to you!
 
Think I might try and go for a hellfire ring. If worst comes to worst atleast it can be used on a lower level character if it turns out to be crap! Something to work towards beyond just levelling up too.
 
Whats the best method to farm Paragon levels now? does higher ML give more exp or is it the same across all MLs? if its the same then surely speed farming ML0 or ML1 has to be the best method of getting Paragon levels?

If it increases by ML then i guess its best to find the highest ML you can farm efficiently and do that? i can solo ML8 fairly easily but a little slow, so ML6 is a breeze in comparison, just wondering which is going to be the best route to getting some Paragon levels as im only PL7

general consensus was that speed and efficiency is your best bet, so MP0, Act 3 Alkziers (sp) run was the most efficient for xp due to the massive amount of stuff to kill. essentially you find something that gives you aoe kills without having to click on every monster, so for me it's a TR monk build. it's hella boring though.

I'm not sure how the new patch has affected things now they have increased monster density throughout the Acts and made some mods to the xp scaling (so I believe), maybe a kind person can enlighten us!

I think with the new patch the density of the mobs increases when it is Mp1+.

I always run on Mp1 and never Mp0 (before and after the patch) as there is a small increase in a bonus item dropping - not sure what this bonus item translates to but because of this I always do runs on Mp1+.

I think Act 1 and Act 2 now has enough monster density to allow them to be considered as equals to the Alkaiser runs of act 3 but someone may be better to confirm that.
 
Ok i'll do some testing tonight, ml1 runs on act1 and then again on ml5 to see if theres any diff in exp, if its the same then ml1 runs are prob going to be the most efficient way to level paragon fast. If mobs didnt leash i could prob solo entire areas at once lol
 
im at 184k dps atm on my CMWW Wiz, thanks for Smudge and Concept :) Im up for farming also if im online and not already grouped up

Will post my ID later as i cant remember the #xxxx bit
