Ahhh, I never knew that. I know how we acquired promotion to the first division in 1919 was a bit dodgy. Something to do with brown envelopes
Not too bad though, as Spurs were the team to lose out on promotion that season 
Yeh but tbh we shouldn't have too much problems seeing off Newcastle, just hope that Sunderland do a job on Spurs this weekend coming.

It's also two seasons in a row Spurs can only blame themselves for throwing away 10+ point leads over us as well. A few months back I was reading how this was the year Arsenal fans would never be able to celebrate St. Totteringham's Day ever again, like Spurs were now poised to dominate the rivalry, and yet, here we are again, one game away from the status quo.
Of course, we could still finish 5th but the fact it went down to the last game considering most of our season...

you got to say spurs have not been in the top flight as arsenal have in the recent years? there is a huge expectation for Trophys for you boys. Tottenham not so much but it would be nice

people seem to forget just how much impact albions keeper had on arsenal winning the last day of the season game. newcastle have no choice to play their 3rd keeper on sunday.

Well then enjoy a good 10 yrs of not winning any trophies and struggling to get CL football lol.
Tbh I used to worry about us not winning trophies but not anymore...we just haven't got a good enough squad...hopefully this summer we will make some big purchases

But that was not good enough was it. Keep your head up though, this is the best season Spurs have had in the premier league so you never know, you might fluke 4th on the last day of the season
