Is it just me who thought the victims(cyclist) statement in some of the articles seemed a tad far fetched? He looks like the type who would over exaggerate...
Ruin her life? She nearly took someone's life - seriously injuring them for all she knew. If she had killed the bloke would you be speaking differently? If it was your family member she was mocking on her twitter for colliding with, would you?
She LAUGHED at the fact that she hit someone in her car. She found potentially causing someone catastrophic injuries hilarious and worth boasting about.
...and you care if she loses her job? She deserves to be ridiculed in public and be penniless.
Personally, I love the internet witch hunt culture. It hits people far harder than a caution, sentence or fine ever would. It makes truly disgusting human beings genuinely miserable on account of their despicable actions. **** up her life a bit, she deserves it.
You know the law is in place for a reason? And has developed over literally hundreds of years to deal with wrongdoings? But no, a group of internet vigilantes should absolutely hunt people down, that didn't go at all wrong with the Boston bombings.
Ultimately, I believe she sounds like a bad, or at least very foolish, person. However, you have to judge the crime, not her personality. She drove dangerously, hit a cyclist, and drove off. If/when convicted, she will be punished accordingly.
She should not be punished for being a bad person or a fool until/unless she does something wrong (which she has). Nor should her punishment be increased due to her personality. There are a lot of people in this world I don't like, or who do mean things. It's not my place to blab about it to their employers.
I'm fed up with cyclists and i don't even drive!! There moral supiorty is enough to ban them from the roads. They don't pay road tax, they reckless and when they get into an accident is automatically the drivers fault. If you saw how they act in central London you'd agree with me.
Yawn, another driving v cycling thread.
Some drivers are idiots. Some cyclists are idiots. /end

+1.I'll just add that some pedestrians are idiots as well.

In your opinion. Many others disagree with you. She was open about her employer, mentioning them on the same page as her admitted crimes. I would imagine she even had some workmates on her twitter contacts so this might have even caused issues at the workplace.
This was posted in the comments section. It seems quite reasonable to me.
having said that, i wouldnt have done it...but i would imagine its cyclists who reported her and they obviously have more of a personal interest in such things.
There's no difference between her being publicly outed by people on the web and by the press. Truth is, rightly, a defence against prosecution.
She caused this. I have zero sympathy.

I see where you're coming from but honestly, I'm fed up of the shallow, greedy, materialistic, selfish, people of the world who think they are entitled to everything and owe nothing, caring not a jot what impact their actions have on others. I find this individual a disgusting human being, not only for her actions, but also for her perception of those actions. This is an individual who I could not care less if their life was ruined, because I feel the world would be a far better place without such a person.
To you, I probably sound like a bitter, hateful person and nothing more. In fact, I'm the exact opposite. I despise the bitter, hateful people of the world.
The fact a motorist openly admitted hitting a cyclist proves it did happen, whether the two people involved are the same is more difficult to prove
Edit: There are some douchey motorists and some douchy cyclists... As a pedestrian I notice them all the time, but then again there are some douchey pedestrians too! As a general rule of thumb, there the good, the bad, and the douchey in everything.
Edit2: These guys are the worst...
here hoping one of them is seriously injured or killed.

...From the evidence she seems to be an odious woman who brags about causing potentially serious harm to other people. She should be out in the street selling pencils from a cup....

But what gives you the right to be the judge and prosecute her. You don't know all the facts and may have potentially destroyed someone's life on the basis of false assumptions or misinformation.
The bar's been set guys, can anyone come out with a more stupid comment?
Personally I'm going to wager yes, yes they can.
you should never say thatthey will get injured if they keep that up but hoping for some one to get killed on injured ? please..
i ride through those exact roads every day and im probably the crazy one, never seen anyone riding like thatit clearly was done for the race and nothing else.
