This kind of "man bag"?

:D :p

Do it! It really is the best :D Pretty much all the "pros" use it as well.

If the one S had retained its value i.e. I could sell easily for like £190+ then I might have jumped ship by now but since it is only worth a measly £70-100+ then I just can't justify spending £430+ on something that will only be mainly "better" in a few areas for my "usage/requirements " i.e. screen of the GS 4

I also like to have that "true" upgrade feel, where it really wows me :o :p

Yup, it will have to be better than the GS 4/one and priced below £450 for me to consider, hopefully will get some true facts on it soon..........

I think we have a good chance of seeing some nice software features in KLP  Many people prefer the skins to stock these days due to the extra features and it really seems to be the "in" thing currently and who can have the best features or/and have the most.

LOL! Yes, but my man bag's way cooler ;):p

I will because as I said before I don't have any photo editing software installed on my laptop and Lightroom is ideal

That's a massive price drop for the HOS but I'm not surprised as HTC phones don't hold their value, nor do any other phones other than Apple and Samsung ones (think we mentioned that before as well). It's a wise and logical way to look at it and it certainly does not justify spending that much money on the current gen phones.

Aside from the screen you won't have that upgrade "wow" factor but as mobile technology has moved on so much I think we may have hit that plateau when it comes to tech so any new phone that comes out has to pretty much be unique maybe in design and materials used possibly to negate the plateau. I think that HTC are moving in the right direction with the HO (front facing speakers and boomsound).

I read somewhere that the Moto X will be priced competitively and yes no doubt we'll get some more facts soon considering it's going to be be released hopefully around October so not long now.

I haven't had any experience of Moto's skins but apparently it's very close to stock android, maybe that might suit your needs? We'll know soon for sure.

Indeed it seems that Skins are the in thing at the moment, users are finally coming around to the notion that decent skins are extremely helpful and not a hindrance and unfortunately stock android is rather sparse (camera application definitely comes to mind here).

Hopefully KLP will address a few aspects (Google really needs to up the ante in the OS wars and not rest on its JB laurels)

Require pics! You can't get any "cooler" than Joey's MG :D :p

Yeah, covered the value etc. before in here I think :p Even the GS 2 is selling for more :o

Emu recently picked a one XL up for £200 iirc, which is pretty damn cheap considering it was probably the best phone from last year (imo)

Yup, most definitely, as said before, I can see many companies taking the same road as HTC when it comes to future mobiles now i.e. front stereo speakers and better camera in low light conditions etc. it just makes so much more sense as opposed to placing tiny speaker on the back, especially since mobiles devices are used for far more than just phone calls and texts these days i.e. watching movies, youtube videos, gaming, music etc.

Hopefully next year will be the year of foldable screens, probably only be Samsung (maybe LG too.......) though.....

Yup, their skin is the closest to stock, imo it is even better than stock though as there is more of a unified feel throughout and the apps have a black background etc. instead of white like SMS iirc. Has a few features but not really very many :(

Here you go...It goes with the Converse sneaks that are permanently on my feet

Although Joey was the pioneer of the man bag accessory so I have to give that to him to say the very least ;)

Seriously? The S2 is selling for more? But that's like a two year old phone, whereas the HOS is only a year old?

£200 for a XL is a bargain, wow! Great chip set as well and much better Than the HOX.

+1 to that HTC are pioneers when it comes to design and mobile phones are more like multi media devices now so having front facing speakers is a must however imagine sitting on a mode of public transport and teenagers or some chav blasting their music most annoying :mad:

Foldable screens should be an interesting proposition it would be extremely interesting to see how designs will be incorporated around this new tech. We might be limited to Samsung and LG phones though as you quite rightly pointed out.

In regards to Moto skin, I like the fact that it has a black unified feel through out the system but maybe because it is extremely close to stock bar a few cosmetic changes just might not be enough! :(

ok guys heres a question. is it best to put 2 normal screen protectors on my s4 or is 1 enough? because my worry is i use my nose to control my phone the heat from my breathing may crate condensation though to the screen or something?

i had a invisibleSHIELD screen protector on my s3 for nearly a year without issues. but i don't want to get one for my s4 because of price and the installation by water like on the s3

Should be kool bud, I leave my phone in the bathroom every morning whilst taking a shower and don't seem to have any problems with condensation.

Joey's is still cooler! :p

Nah that does look pretty damn nice :)

Yup, at least for the recycling sites it is and last I time I checked ebay etc. it was going for a bit more too....... yup 2 year old phone with hardware etc. that isn't as good yet still sells for more etc. :o

That would be kind of annoying :( At least the sound quality will be better though :p

It will be superb if they can get the design as shown in their mockup videos, so many advantages too the flexible thin display i.e. screen will be pretty much unbreakable. Imagine carrying around a device that is barely any bigger than the current lot of phones, however, you can extend the screen so that it becomes a 7"+ display + SAMOLED goodness   shutupandtakemymoney.jpg

Yup, they need to do more than just a few cosmetic changes in order to truly compete against touchwiz and sense.....

@Nexus Thanks! :)

Phones are almost like cars, once you buy it can fall in value quite substantially. Still it's unreal that a 2 year old phone is commanding a fair bit of money, it goes to show that what a game changer the S2 was.

It's my pet hate when people play music loud on their phones it's so inconsiderate and actually a part of anti social behaviour. It may sound better but I rather sit in peace and quiet on a bus or train. I'll get off my soapbox now :p

Check this out, I bit the bullet and joined the Lightroom club :)

Am going to add Lightroom tutorials to the to do list, as I still haven't got around to rooting my S4. I can't be bothered for some reason

That's so damn cool, the likes of you and I would then be able to get phones which we normally wouldn't consider.

Amazing how tech moves forward

If Google want to carry on making strides in the mobile world, surely they'll make innovative changes which aren't just cosmetic otherwise there'll be a shift and consumers will eventually get bored of the OS and try other systems out. It's the nature of the beast I'm afraid.

Indeed! Plus you would be lucky if you could find the one s still being sold at network stores/etailers etc. like mobiles.co.uk etc. where as the GS 2 is still being sold virtually everywhere.

Nice one! :D

If you need any advice, just ask :) Although you should find/learn pretty much all that you need to know from that video and website digital photography tips.

Some good tips here too:

Word of warning.........it is addicting! :o :p

Just think of that stunning domination theme that you are missing out on ;)

Yup, I am very much looking forward to it, foldable screens are the future!

Most certainly, hopefully the rumours that we have heard about the X phone/motorola's modified software are true and that they (as some have put it.... "ground breaking features") will make their way to stock android too.........

Probably a quick "no" answer, but without new roms/flashing/rooting, is there anyway to get the icons in the Notification bar to the default blue colour, or even any other from normal plain android? I have Apex launcher installed, but not sure if it is at all possible?

Something seems to be eating through my battery especially whilst on standby. Only started happening since last night. Any ideas?
