**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

I thought it was 15 games MS Studio's (1st/2nd party) were working on over the first year of the machine with 8 new IP? Which in itself sounds aggressive.

My guess for how they have classed it:

• Halo 5
• Killer Instinct - NEW IP
• Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty Land - NEW IP
• Forza Motorsport 5
• Quantum Break - NEW IP
• Halo: Spartan Assault - NEW IP
• Ryse - NEW IP
• Fable IV
• Crackdown 3
• Fortnite - is this exclusive to XBone? Assume this is Epic's new game and therefore a chance of being exclusive.

And oh...League of Legends for consoles. That's cool.

If that's true, (and I can't say that I disagree with you) then that's a bit of a cop-out as a lot of those new IP's are from existing franchises which doesn't really say brand new intellectual property to me :(
Well, we'll know for sure in a week at E3.

I assume you are classing a new IP as a franchise that has never appeared specifically on the Xbox before?

In a way, yes. Although it's just my thought at how MS may have got to 8. Might be entirely wrong and maybe at some point they will elaborate on what those 8 games are.

I know KI existed on previous formats but I can imagine is classed as a 'reboot' or 'new IP'. And the Halo and Banjo titles might be considered 'spin-offs' that in turn could generate a series of games.

Where as the remainder are genuine new games.

Most people can't even tell the difference between a bluray and a DVD. I went round my inlaws about a month ago and they were watching cricket on Sky. I asked them why they weren't watching it in HD. They didn't know wtf I was talking about :p

This is very true, none of my 'elders' (sounds daft being 27) can tell the difference. It's becoming more of a niece market, has been ever since the birth of the flat screen TV.

apparently this is a leaked list of microsofts E3 games

according to the NeoGAF post:
• Halo 5
• Killer Instinct
• Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty Land
• Forza Motorsport 5
• Quantum Break
• Halo: Spartan Assault
• Ryse
• Fable IV
• Crackdown 3
• Fortnite
• Dead Rising 3
• Call of Duty: Ghosts
• Battlefield 4
• The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
• Dying Light
• Prey 2
• Homefront 2
• Beyond Good & Evil 2
• Mirror's Edge 2
• Rainbow 6: Patriots
• Brother in Arms: Furious Four
• League of Legends

Shouldn't Batman Origins also be on there?

How is Banjo-Kazooie new IP? Nuts and Bolts was on the 360.

Microsoft aren't saying these are new IPs, just people speculating on the forum based on a leaked list.

Even if they have stated they will have 15 new IPs/1st/2nd party games, nothing says they have to show them all at E3.

TBH both Sony and MS will both show a few exclusives and then have paid devs come and show their multi plat games and imply they will be better on the respective platform (by way of DLC, exclusive content etc).

I know MS haven't said that but it's blatantly not new IP speculation or not.

I am curious to see how LoL works on a console. I play HoN and there are far too many keys to be mapped to buttons.

Any one else think the move to PC architecture might actually bring back PC gaming?
Think about it, It's going to be a lot easier to port games developed originally for console to PC now,
Laptop cpus are getting more powerful graphics wise by the day, In about a year or so i imagine the most recent i7 at the time will have pretty good graphics performance.
To me, theres an air of huge change for the way the gaming industry is and i have a feeling at the end of this generation things are going to be a lot different.
Nintendo have their place in the market, But how long can two companies fight it out by releasing consoles that are very similar?
I just think this gen is looking similar to the 90's when the Mega drive was up against the Snes.

I have a feeling the XBOX1 will turn out to be a flop initially and the PS4 will catch them offguard.
But i think MS have made a HUGE mistake with their stance on the XBOX1, Its design, The inclusion of a kinect sensor which is likely very expensive and so on.

I think any move forward from the current gen was always going to benefit the PC personally!

Yet you can buy their games on Steam...

I'm sceptical. I would be amazed if they don't release The Witcher 3 on XBO, PS4 and PC. They would be missing out on a massive amount of revenue for what is a meagre amount of work (compared to previous generations).

But you can also buy the PC version away from Steam. With the Xbox One, they HAVE to use the retarded DRM.

They do? We know an awful lot of unannounced stuff about this console, don't we?

You know what is more likely? They simply haven't specifically announced the Xbox One version yet. A lot of multi-platform games haven't been specifically announced for the Xbox One yet (likely due to the launch's proximity to E3).
