In all seriousness, I can't imagine either of them could afford to do that. It's going to sell stupidly well; GTA4 took $500m in the first week.
 
Yeah most definitely. To be honest, I just want it to have less aliasing and a smoother framerate than GTA4. Hopefully they're not pushing the consoles beyond what they can reliably achieve.

Stupid time for Rockstar to be releasing such an important game, imho.

If you only release it on current gen, you run the risk of people not buying it because the platform is going to be superseded imminently.

If you only release on next gen you give up a huge static audience.

The only solution, imho, is release it on both generations, which could mean huge compromises in game play and graphics for the next gen version, or a sloppy hack version for the current gen.
 
If they're going to bring it out for PC, at least half the work is done for them. The higher res textures are in place, the code base is x86 ready. It'll just be a case of optimization. I'm not giving up on a PS4 release yet. :p

It would be nice to see this on the next gen, but i really can't see it happening unless they have been making 2 versions this whole time.

PC is gonna be hilariously fun with the mod teams that are all over GTA games, good talent.

It wouldn't need 2 versions, they could just use the PC version tweaks (if this exists of course)
 
I'm actually waiting for this to be released before buying it. GTA4 was blurry and horrible looking on PS3, if this is the same I will wait for a PC/PS4 version
 
Can't believe I've only just noticed that I spelt 'trailer' wrong in the thread title. Could a mod perhaps make the necessary correction if/when they read this?

As for next-gen versions, I just don't see it happening. I suppose they could still come out and announce it within the next few months, but they'd **** a lot of people off if they kept it quiet until after PS3/360 release.

I think IF a next gen version was released it would be along side the PC version at a later date. The next gen consoles are pretty similar to PC now they are running x86 so it would make sense.

I just don't see it happening, devs are lazy. and doing the console port to pc is what they are used to, not the other way around.

I hope I'm wrong, because it would be better for the game industry, just I know that they only care for the money now and the ease of what they are used to is far to tempting than to make good games :)
 
Personally i wouldn't imagine it would come to next consoles, the extra cost in development wouldn't justify the return from the smaller user base.

The majority of people already own a 360 or ps3, hence why it isn't coming to Wii U.
