Before we go further, is that like a 'use-by' or 'best before' date?
to those saying yes, you're saying you could do that?
Absolutely. If someone seriously harmed a person I cared about, I'd happily torture that person. I am not saying I'd recreate a scene from Hostel or Saw necessarily, but I'd make the person suffer.
I'd also torture those who commit treason against the nation.
Wow, that was a horrible read. I have no idea how anyone can do such things and not feel utterly awful about it.
You would torture someone just to cause them pain and suffering? That's a bit weird.

you're saying you could take a small innocent child rape, mutilate and brutalize her in front of her mother or father?
gouge the eyes from a Womans head infront of her children before killing them?
burn someone alive?
no offence but if you can do that then the only one who deserves it us you, but you're lucky that the people who say no couldn't treat you the same way you would treat others
Either a troll or a mentally ill person.
Not sure they're mutually exclusive though.
I think there is a difference between 'torturing for the sake of torturing' - i.e. following the orders of somebody who has control over you, and torturing somebody because of how you feel about that person.
I'd be unable to follow the orders of somebody and torture somebody, because there is no emotion there. Honestly, if somebody was to do something to inflict pain upon those I cared about, I highly doubt I'd find hurting that person as difficult.
What is weird about wanting to punish those who have hurt those you care about? That is one of the most basic instincts there is. I should add that I am not arguing that it's a good thing, it's just something I think I'd be capable of doing.
What is strange about wanting to punish those who betray your nation? Betraying your nation ranks second only to betraying your family in most traditional morality.
Well you're talking of harming children who are presumably innocent, so of course not. You're also choosing quite extreme examples of torture, which encompasses far less severe punishments. I am sure water boarding is not something I ever wish to experience, but it's nothing like eye-gouging.
Either a troll, or incapable of mature discussion.

Not sure whether to grab some popcorn or back out of the thread.
I think afterwards you'd feel different. with the former you'll always be able to say "I had to do it or it would have happened to me instead" with the later when you're haunted by what you've done you'll have no one to blame but yourself
For a proper reasondeserving it? Yes
