German Grand Prix 2013, Nürburgring - Race 9/19

That Merc needs putting in the skip along with the McLaren.
Why? We've been told for years that Hamilton and Alonso are the only two drivers who could drive a shopping trolley to victory so is that not the case now? Is it possible he's not any more capable than most of the other drivers without the equipment to back him up?

The car is a complete dog in race trim and they won't ever fix that.

Not in Silverstone though. In fact if Hamilton's tyre didnt go boom they might have had a 1-2!

Why the drastic drop in performance from Silverstone to Germany?

Exactly this.

Given the dog of a car button has who do you think will be the happier driver :D

the merc is a bit of a dog too in this heat.

i suspect neither driver is happy where they finish but i bet hamilton would rather finish infront of button than behind.

:D

Yeah it was a dog last weekend when rosberg won in same conditions eh

The Mercedes is quick because it punishes its tyres. The level of punishement varies depending on compound, construction, track and temperature, but the chassis inherent appetite for rubber is still there

With this car in a fuel limited era Hamilton would be the title leader.

Infact heat wise Silverstone was a lot worse on the tyres. Next excuse plz.

im not making excuses, not even sure what for, you are trying to argue that button is happier finishing behind hamilton because i made a comment of hamilton passing button.

So we have regs to build cars too, tyres to build cars to work with and car setup days all day Friday and Saturday morning. Lotus have made it work, Ferrari are ok with the tyres, Merc aren't. Lotus are fine on heavy fuel load with these tyres. If but coulda woulda shoulda. Mercare just blaming everything on the tyres. Cry me a river.

Watching back a clip of the camera man being hit, did anyone else think he was a gonna after that? It looked brutal and those things aren't light :(
