Vegard Forren (that chap we paid £4m for at christmas) has gone back to Molde for an "undisclosed fee" (probably pretty much what we paid for him. Strange one that, 3 appearances for the u21's and 7 bench appearances in place of Dan Seaborne is a lot to pay for really.

Also released Richard Chaplow who was average at best in the champ and will probably be ending up at Milwall. That needed to happen as he really isn't that great...

And I wonder why it hasn't happen....

Because Carrick hasnt had a serious injury yet ( and I hope he doesnt this season either)

In all fairness, last season you were the best of a very poor league. Chelsea, Arsenal, and City are all strengthening. Liverpool and Spurs are too, although I'd still expect both to be a ways off. You need to strengthen. The league will not be won by such a weak team again.

Arsenal and Chelsea strengthened last season also....... (it could be argued City strengthened their squad also, but thats a lot more dubious)

Both Roma and Marseille want Gervinho:D...yayyyy \o/. Although Marseille want him on loan and Roma are offering £6.9mill according to this snippet.

Hope if these rumours are truem, we sell him rather than loan him out even for £6.9mill.

Also the Bendnter deal looks to have fallen by the wayside :/. Seems like he wasnt a good fit for the team, Eintracht Frankfurt and his demands for wages etc was too ludicrous for Frankfurt:p.

And last but not least, seems like Vermaelen is not going on the pre-season tour due to a back injury.

Don't worry, he only comes in here to ask if they've signed Ronaldo or Thiago yet :p

I see. :p

In regards to Bendtner's deal with Frankfurt falling through I read on ESPN that it was due to Bendtner's demands and nothing to do with Frankfurt or Arsenal.

We've just signed a 37 year old Spanish right back who was playing in La Liga last season  Didn't see that coming. Imagine going from Barcelona away one season, to Port Vale away in League One the next!

Seems like Swansea has made a good signing in this Wilfried Bony who was the dutch player of the year last season. Could be another Michu in the making if he does well next season.

How does Bendtner think he can make demands!?!? Surely he should just be grateful that he's not doing something more suited to his particular set of talents, like being unemployed! (my apologies if this insults anyone who is unemployed! :D)

I think it's to do with wages, I can sort of see DM's point on this one in regard to certain players being on much more than they are worth at Arsenal and then as a consequence being hard to shift. For what it's worth I think Bendtner could be a useful player as a backup or a plan B, but with his absolutely atrocious behaviour off the pitch and his sheer arrogance he will probably never amount to anything now. There's still time and he's still young but he needs to buck his ideas up, stop all of the off the pitch nonsense, stop talking himself up like he's the next Henry and get on with his game.

Enjoying dithering Dave, United fans.

I think once Pep made his feelings known that was the end of the story. Let's see how the next one goes. I'd love dithering Dave to be as blatant as Pep - "I want Messi at this club and have instructed the board to do whatever it takes to get him here" :)
