Borderlands 2 release date confirmed ( Launch trailer also )

Indie games are where it's at. Lots of new titles recently and many more coming out this year.

The last half-decent shooter was BFBC2 and that was only good as a casual shooter. Since Q3 there has been nothing decent in terms of FPS.

Think I just found 1 of Kriegs ultimate combo's.

Claptraps beard quest in Tiny Tina has a mission req. weapon, Miss Moxxi's Grog Nozzle. Its basically a **** pistol with a very high chance (~47%) that occasionally makes you 'drunk' and fires off 6 shots in 1. Its damage is low but it doesn't matter, it heals you for 65% of all damage you do while wielding it from any source.

So I can stand around in a fire fight with Flames of the Firehawk blowing everything up around me and healing me back to full hp every tick of the damage/burning it inflicts. Absolutely legendary combo :D

The level jump from Bright Lights, Flying City to Wildlife Preservation is bloody ridiculous in TVHM. I'm level 39 and there are enemies 5 levels higher than me and I have no chance in hell of killing the Super Badass Loader blocking my way into the storage area!

Do some side missions to level up and get better gear?

5 levels higher is way too much, keep the gap to 3 levels, you dont stand a hope in hell with a gap of 5 levels....Bloodwing will totally slaughter you

you're kidding right

No, he's not .... in TVHM if the enemies are too high, do the side missions to level up. Borderlands 2 is a game best experienced as a whole, just doing the main quest line makes you miss out on a lot of interesting content.

Saturn is one of the most easiest bosses to solo  Use the building as cover and keep ducking in & out. Have more than 1 gun type in your inventory, sounds like you're relying on just a sniper rifle which has limited ammo.

yea that's trure for the 2nd playthrough, but i'm doing to the 3rd playthrough instead, the side quests here are of no value at all... it's only worth doing the legendary side quests

i will probably finish at level 60, which means i'll have to level up to 61 doing the legendary side quests, this is ok because i've quite a few to do.

on a happy note:-:D

all my sniper rifles with Zero are now one hit kills...and will be more so once i've returned to Sanctuary, because i'm now meeting level 61 bandits and they're dropping ok.....BUT, a one shot headkill has to be on max AMP charge and be a fare and square hit between the eyes, because it aint gonna kill if you scalp him only, same as level 50 :D

lets hope Warrior drops Conference call  because if not he might drop the Maliwan volcano instead..... to be honest i dont care i suppose, because the ``talking shotgun`` is almost as good, plus i never used CC that much anyway.

the detonating cobra sniper is dropped in Torgue, NOW THAT'S THE ONE TO HAVE, but has a low drop rate.

I've level 34 and just starting the final main story mission, is that about the right level? I'm not sure I'll bother with a full replay as a second class though but may do if there's a real benefit to it - I just tend not to have the time.

Plus I'm addicted to Prison Architect at the moment lol

he's killing me with those heat seaking homing missiles as i'm running for cover, he's not harming me face to face, no i'm using the Torgue Shotty, because the sniper rifles dont harm him....last time i slaughtered him easily with Torgue, but this time around it aint working, probably because the Torgue at level 50 was a hell of a lot more powerful than this one at level 57.

You seemed to have done conquered it anyways, the wiki guide for Saturn (http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Saturn) says there's an alternative:
Saturn is also very vulnerable to Zer0's B0re skill, using a high powered Jakobs "gatling" assault rifle (lower accuracy is better as more focused rounds can easily destroy his turrets) against Saturn (while all of his original 4 turrets are still active) results in a massive amount of damage being dealt to Saturn's actual body. This can quickly take down up to half of his total health before his turrets are destroyed, this can all take place shortly after he lands while he is still on the bridge.

I haven't decided if I'll do a second playthrough as I don't have any of the DLC apart from characters, so I've been completing every quest that I've found.

Have now read second playthough doesn't allow for repeat of side quests, so have I gimped myself?

Don't have any of the DLC apart from characters, if that changes anything. May get zone DLC when a very cheap bundle deal comes out if not bored to death by game.

Generally its because you've ignored side missions. The Wildlife Preservation Area has a huge level jump and those Rabid Stalkers will rip you a new one quite easily. Its not so bad if you've been doing all the sidequests up to that point but on the second playthrough it is very tempting to avoid it.

Saturn is a tedious boss rather than a hard one. It has a silly amount of hp and everything it does can be easily avoided by staying by cover/circling the house.

Just got my first two golden keys. Would I be better off saving them for later? I'm at level 23 and apart from a few bizarre difficulty spikes where I got slaughtered I'm actually doing ok so far so I don't think I really need them (found two orange weapons so far) but obviously curious to see what you get with them.

All my keys have unlocked pretty much rubbish. My best items have been from the slot machines in Moxxi's. You might get lucky and they might be useful at that level. You can always get more.
