You thought i was a utd fan, wana fight?:o:D

Lol, choose your handbag lad? :p

While it's disheartening, Barcelona were always going to say something along these lines. "Not for sale at any price" is absolute rubbish, everyone has a price, except maybe Messi. Especially as we're talking here about a player who isn't even an automatic first 11 starter (when Xavi is available).

Dude, this is just not the case, Cesc is one of the main men in midfield for the next 5 years for Barca. He may end his career there, very likely actually. Even more so if this clause between Arsenal and Barca is true.

What is not the case? You think he's priceless?

Well..like you say, everyone has a price. I agree with that. How much do you think he's worth? Remember you've got factor in Barcelona paying off Cesc, his contract, hassle of finding a replacement. I can't see Man U bidding 60/70 mil for him?

Whatever the case, his price isn't going to be £35m. We need to make a new bid of £40m and take it up from there. An opening bid of £26m is so ridiculous it makes me think one of two things - we have heavy indications he wants to join, or, Ed Woodward is retarded, or perhaps both. :p

As for what I think he's worth, I'd be surprised if we got him for less than £45m, and I think £50-60m is possible but perhaps getting a bit steep, but again, we might as well pay it.

Another thing to consider is that this is one of Man Utd's biggest seasons ever coming up, we've just lost Sir Alex and David Moyes needs the club to back him, and I mean seriously back him.

I just don't see what is at Manchester United for him...there is nothing to gain. Unless of course he's actually deeply deeply unhappy inside and hasn't told anyone about it. Maybe he does want to come back to England, even then, i wouldn't be sure Man U would be his first port of call.

Fabregas is an extremely important player for Barca though, despite what the media say. The english press just make it up because we know we enjoyed watching that lad play, we want him back. You look at the Bale sage for example, Spurs (less money than man u/barca?) aren't selling their top player and thats 85mil. Different players, different fee's sure. What it shows tho is the players really at the top of their game are just about unsellable..

Swear down, De Rossi would be perfect for Man U, not sure if he want's to go to Chelsea though.

Lol, you lot are unsettling Fabregas. Oh the irony...:p

Edit..you've actually bidded. lol

I wouldn't say we're unsettling him in the same respect though :p, I think, or at least I'm pretty sure that we've already spoken with him prior to trying to sort this deal out. Just popping up with what is essentially a rubbish bid would be utterly stupid!

Its about time united got some balls a unsettled players ,Madrid do it all the time and barce practically made cesc go on strike at arsenal before they finnally got him

In what respect are Real unsettling Bale, that Utd aren't doing to Fabregas?

Well Real Madrid make far greater use of the press, and it seems more underhand.

Cesc is at what most consider to be his "dream club", so it's not really going to have the same sort of effect on him, I'd imagine.

Bale is stuck at Spurs, longing for a way out onto the biggest stage.

That's not to say that I care, if we have to be sly about it then I'm all for it.

About time? You kidnapped Berbatov.

No, that was some Bulgarian gangster when he was younger! :p

It's possible I've missed it due to a distinct lack of interest in the rumours but have Real Madrid actually put a bid in for young Mr Bale? If they haven't then simply circulating rumours that they're interested is slightly different to saying "we're interested and here's an offer*". It might be a fine distinction but it's one I think can be drawn.

*Unrealistic though the offer may be that's not entirely the point.

Going by AVB's press-conference today, it certainly appears as if Real have bid. He was directly asked about it but refused to answer the question, saying he didn't want to talk about transfer bids. Funnily enough he was happy to talk about Spurs bid for Soldado though.

I know what Real typically do but I'm not sure what they've done regarding Bale specifically that Utd haven't done with Fabregas. You've been told he's not for sale but made a couple of bids and Moyes has been confirming these bids to the press and you have to ask yourself who's briefing the press that Fabregas wants to join Utd too.

Personally I think that's exactly what utd have done.

If they spoke to him I'm sure he would have been polite but you would have got the answer in stone.

The president has said, he's staying, the manager and ex manager have said he's staying, his team mates think he's staying and fab himself (although earlier in summer) said he is staying...

But talks are on going says moyes...

Sounds like a sure thing :p

They will have definitely spoken to him in some capacity. You don't go in blind like this. No chance.
