My post explained this. As I've already said, other developers have already announced next-gen versions of their games. Granted, they seem to be aiming to release their current-gen and next-gen versions quite close together (although until we have next-gen console release dates, we won't know). GTA5 is clearly going to outsell pretty-much any other game during the next 6 months, so I'd be left wondering why they feel the need to then dupe people into paying for the game twice. Even EA seemingly wouldn't stoop that low.
Oh god, Rockstar are worse than EA for not telling you they might release GTA V on the next generation consoles.
EA & Activision are huge, huge companies that have huge budgets and huge teams working for them, of course they can announce their games for multiple platforms. Rockstar are not near this huge.
I don't think Rockstar are 'duping' people either, they've only talked about what they're doing with the current generation and how they feel there is still life left in this generation.
I think it would be stupid from a business point of view and from the company themselves, they've said for a while now how they feel this generation still has a lot to offer.
I think you're just hung up on this, however nobody is forcing you to buy it on release, this generation, again on the next or again on PC.
Not really. I think most would consider the PC to be a separate platform entirely whereas the majority who buy an Xbox One or PS4 will already own a 360 or PS3; it's the reason there's often some desire for backwards compatibility. It's not the same as buying a DVD and then a Blu-ray release either, unless the DVD comes out 6 months before the Blu-ray while the distributor states that there are no current plans for a Blu-ray release.
Well, the xbox and PS3 are different platforms?

.
I don't see the fuss with backwards compatibility, that's another discussion though.
It is the same as buying a DVD / Blu ray. The PC version 'if' released, will have improvements due to the higher capabilities of the PC.
This is all a storm in a tea cup, much ado about nothing.
Rockstar release the game on 360/P£3, awesome.
Rockstar release the game on the XO/PS4, awesome, nobody is forcing people to buy it again.
