I'm beginning to think replying to you is a total waste of time. You've said about 20 times "HURR DURR IT'LL BE FELLAINI" and added nothing to the discussion. You never do. Ever.

Only beginning?! All he's worth is a poke and a laugh, nothing more serious than that as you may as well be talking to a dribbling baby.

the fellaini link makes sense the most as he's worked under moyes. did you not bid for baines aswell?

the discussion over fabregas will just go round in circles. you bid, fair enough but was it a convincing bid? i don't think so and you don't either. have they bid again? if they're serious about 'getting their man' why not? it was pointless low balling a player like fabregas from a team like barca so if you're serious about it, go in with a serious offer. i strongly believe it was a saving face bid which is an insult to the united fans, fabregas and barca. not something a club like united should be doing. leave that to levy.

There hasn't really been anything linking us to Fellaini by the way, it's just people putting Moyes + Previous club raid + United needing a midfielder together.

Most of the solid interest seemed to be from Chelsea before, rather than us.

i'm not saying fellani is plan A, he's more of a contingency but the way it's going, i can see that plan coming into action. thiago, fabregas maybe modric next? bale? who knows. you may have other targets in mind or (as moyes said in an article i posted) you may sign no one at all.

i want united to strengthen, no way i want chelsea and city to dominate. united (even under moyes) are the only ones who can battle them through true grit as oppossed to financial clout. i just don't see fabregas, modric etc as realistic they're more panic station.

What if Moyes doesn't really rate Fellaini all that highly, he's in a different situation now. It's entirely possible. Aside from heading and chesting, is he any better than Anderson or Cleverley? Not especially.

Checked a couple of pages back, but couldn't see it mentioned. This "Left Back" Lorenzo Melgarejo, who Liverpool are supposedly in for now, actually made his name as a left winger with Independiente.... which explains why he hasnt been defensively great when utilised at left back.

I wonder if we're actually interested in him as a Winger and Cissokho is still the main LB target....

Oh and he likes number 25, which obviously explains why we had to get rid of Reina.

I doubt it. From what Rodgers said last season, he wants to play narrow across the middle, with the full backs bombing on, so a left footed Glen Johnson would be perfect for that.

We could sign Gareth Bale, he can't cost that much I assume?

Well there goes our first choice keeper. Big debates as to whom is the better keeper outside of the Championship, and I'd also put Simon Moore towards the top of that list. He's now off to Cardiff in the Premiership. He's already made Sky Bet's list of 9 keepers for their England Specials World Cup Squad. Although at 20-1 :)

Can't blame I'm for wanting to move, and potentially securing a salary that will change his life. He also has the chance to play in front of a worldwide audience if he gets a chance in the first team... But it's going to be tricky with Marshall and Lewis ahead of him. Always conducted himself in an impeccable manner and the club seems happy with the undisclosed fee.

Oh... A we play Cardiff tomorrow night in a friendly!

Sheffield Wednesday: Atdhe Nuhiu signs three-year deal.

Sheffield Wednesday have signed ex-Austrian youth international striker Atdhe Nuhiu on a three-year deal.

BBC Link.

I hope we have signed him for his footballing ability and not the fact he's a six foot six centre forward :o.

Also;

Someone is interested in buying the club :eek:.

Sheffield Wednesday: Sammy Yu looking to buy Hillsborough club.

BBC Link.

Also;

Apparently we were in for Chopra, however I am very pleased this move didn't materialise, I was never 'confident' we would get him like, but he's not someone I want at the football club.

BBC Link.

Also;

Sheffield Wednesday: Kamil Zayatte in talks with Owls.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones says the club are in talks to sign former Hull defender Kamil Zayatte.

BBC Link.

In unrelated Sheffield Wednesday news, Tottenham would be mental to turn down that money for Bale, nearly as mad as Real Madrid for offering that much for Bale, that is if all these stories are true, I'm cynical though.

Annnnnnd;

German Supercup: Pep Guardiola defeated in Bayern Munich debut.

Nice to see Borussia Dortmund win! :cool:, not the start Guardiola was wanting / expecting!

BBC Link.

Finally... it's nice to see Richard Scudamore is still a stupid massive c word :eek:, talking rubbish again (no doubt someone will defend him / agree with him) about the role the Premier 'Sky money maker' League has in the lack of development of the England National side and the negative effect it has on the rest of English football.

BBC Link.

Yeah, it's from The Times. Pretty sure it'll just be a guess, but you never know.

Spurs are demanding €145m for Bale.

Real Madrid are saying "it's this summer or never for your big transfer" to try and get Bale to hand in a transfer request and rock the boat a bit more.

:o

Wonder what'll happen.

Was comparing Bale's stats to Suarez, Suarez had slightly better stats. Bale has time on his side and could become better. I dont see hpw he is worth anything more than 60 million. If Madrid want to pay 100 million for him they are taking a gamble that he will be a 100 million player in the future. Ronaldo came off a 42 goal season and CL winning medal to cost 80 million. I really dont think Bale's realistic price should be anywhere near 100 million.

Tottenham should take that 90 million offer thats floating around in the papers if it comes. Would be really stupid to not take it imo.

You don't think he would be worth exactly the same amount next year if he has a similar season at Spurs?

Sad end of renia's Liverpool spell. Pity he will not be able to say goodbye in person. Back door exit springs to mind but not really justified by his time at anfield.:(:mad:

Bale stats & performances aren't better than numerous others in the league, Suarez, Mata, RVP, have him beat. Bentecke is on a par.

Spurs should snap RM's hand off if they are offered anything over 60million tbf before they come to their senses.

Are you actually suggesting that Bentecke is on par with Bale, or are you comparing a striker's stats to a midfielders?
Have you taken into account that all of those players you've mentioned (although very good in their own right) simply don't haver the same brand power that Bale has/will have - Beckham wasn't woprld class, but he knew how to make every club he went to millions in shirt sales alone.
