Haha they are far from the same, more the same in the fact it's a consideration, I'd really like to read some real world reviews of the Uprising now that it is actually available to purchase. Rune reviews mate it sound like an awesome play around bike, Yeti reviews say that although having a really long reach 40mm more than my mega it is a good bike really suited to charging downhill more than just ambling and the Bronson reviews just say it's awesome and that 650b is the best thing ever...

You won't get any reviews on the Uprising yet.

Bronson looks ace too, wouldn't mind any of the above. Rethinking my recommendation, I'd say go for the Uprising / Spitfire or Bronson.
The others being 160mm is a bit overkill for a trail bike... especially given how capable the others are.

For example, check some pis of the 140mm travel Spitfire killing it out in France:

Saw some vids of the bloke hitting the Chatel rivergap and step up on it, and he said the bike wasn't phased at all.

That's good to hear, it's going to be my everything bike so 150/160 is the name of the game, will be doing XC, local trails, DH push up and uplift days, same as the mega has.

Edit: Bronson looks awesome but that is new forks and rims.

How much real world difference is there between the Bronson and the 650b Heckler? Would love a Bronson, but the Solo/Heckler are slightly more sensibly priced! :p

Looks like a Demo with a simplified rear end, will probably see a good weight saving by eliminating those extra chainstays. Whose betting the Geo is very close to that of the Session?

Looking to pick up a spare set of tires soon and looked into the current Nobby Nics that are already on the bike and see they come in Performance Wired, Performance Folding & Evolution Folding.

Whats the difference in these?

And while I'm posting I suppose I should ask if you would recommend any other make/model?

I'm also trying to decide on my next frame. Currently have all new components on order, hope brakes, slx 2x10 gearing, hope wheels and various other bits and bobs. Going to have to get some new forks soon too, my £50 66's have lasted well over the past 2 years though.

Have a video of a slow run at Chatel.

Good job.
The black shore looks like good fun, though it's hard to judge how big the features are.

Out of interest, how big a gap is that step up before, I can't recall seeing it before (though I've not been to Chatel since the first time I went to France)

It's hard to find a picture which shows the size of the step-up, it's not massive, but quite big.

All of black shore is actually really easy, the drop at the beginning was a bit daunting, but once that's out the way then it all flows together. I'm infront in that video, Kyle with the camera on his head was doing his first run down and riding it all blind.

Tha looks sizeable, but no bigger than a step up I've been doing locally.
Looks like you can go at it as fast as you can, without overshooting it or get bucked.
