Do you think anyone is optionally a paedophile?

I am not suggesting that homosexuality and paedophilia are the same thing. What I am suggesting is just because someone has sexual urges doesn't mean acting on them is a good thing.

It's the word "urge" that's causing the problem here. Like it's a thing that will pass after showing some restraint.
 
Just to clarify my views on this.

I condemn the violence in Russia. I have no problem with the ban on the "promotion of homosexuality" they have passed.

What the lad was doing (selling his arse for money by the looks of it) is wrong in itself, and I'd imagine illegal even in Russia, but 'treat others as you expect to be treated' certainly doesn't apply to those thugs.

There are plenty of evidence to support the fact that homesexuality is entirely natural, commonly occurring, has a physiological basis, is not a choice or a "practice" and as such should be openly accepted without prejudice.

This directly entails the morality and ethical support.

So why should getting married allow you to lose control of your urges?
 
The world is in a transitional period right now where gay issues are concerned. In 20 to 30 years time people in the west will fully accept gay partnerships and will probably look back to this period and think how blinkered and backward we were.
