Hi guys :) can somebody help me out & give me a parts list around the AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8350 Black Edition 4.00GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor & the Asus GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphic....

Thanks a lot chris ;)

Do you have the CPU and card already? What's your budget?

No mate I just wanted the best cpu AMD do, am I correct in thinking that's the best at the moment??? As for the GPU I don't really want to spend more than £250 , I suppose I can spend up to £900 be nice to get it for less if possible ;)

Thanks for your reply buddy

That's not the best CPU AMD do, although it's the best series.

If you haven't got the GPU already, you should look at getting the AMD Radeon 7950 for 175.00.

Any reason for wanting to go AMD over Intel on the CPU front?

The 8320 is the best AMD CPU to get, but if you're playing older games or RTS games the 4670K will be a better bet. People can spec you both systems for £900 if you'd like.

At the beginning I was going to go down the intel i7 route but after playing my friends AMD gaming pc that cost nearly half the price it kind of made me think twice as the games looked awesome.

I don't want a super computer I just want a rig that will be better than the XBOXONE & PS4 if possible & something I can store and watch movies on, as it will be in my living room & taking over from my XBOX.

You don't need an i7 though, an i5 is a lot cheaper, and in the vast majority of games offers the same gaming performance.

Would you be overclocking? If you're not you could get the Haswell Xeon which is an i7, but at the i5 4670k's price.

For 900 pound, it's very likely that an i5 4670K and Radeon 7950 will be the way to go.

This is the kind of AMD system I'd get for around £800-£900.

I'm a total novice to the pc world so over clocking isn't a thing I will be looking into until I know and have more experience :)
This will be my first venture into the pc world, apart from my laptop lol

Thanks buddy, I totally forgot to mention I need a motherboard with a wi fi connection is that possible??

If you're not overclocking, the Xeon with a B85 board will be pretty impressive, and attainable at cheaper than a 4670K and overclocking board, won't require a cooler either.

Definitely the route I'd take.

The Corsair case is small for a tower case. If you want mini-ITX, then there's no AMD option at this budget, it'd be Intel with the 7950.
