Has the option been removed to turn off the lights on the capacitive buttons?
Also does anyone know which baseband is latest for the Three(3) network?
Three still on MEA. I use MGA and it works fine with Three.

Got my repair back from o2. Working all good now. Not sure what they did to fix it but they said they repaired it and flashed the latest MEA o2btu firmware. But still rooted and flashed to MGA already. All working fine, no longer loosing battery or restarting or shutting down for now. Will keep a close eye on it over next few days. Prompt service from them.
@matt100 MGA is the latest baseband. There is an issue with some phones not flashing it properly. You need to :
1.: Flash stock kernel (if not there)
2.: Flash stock recovery (if not there)
3.: Download the modem you want
4.: In Odin remove the "Auto Reboot" hook
5.: In Odin click on PHONE, load your Modem and press START
6.: Wait at least 2 Minutes after the process to be completed (otherwise it goes wrong)
7.: Hold the power-button on your device for 10 seconds to reboot
Great usage Pulse!
Robbo - like it or disappointed?
Any word on the 32gb version becoming available in the UK? Really cannot consider another 16gb phone as a replacement for the S3 but theres nothing else out there that seems a decent replacement imo
I like it but I'm also disappointed!
I can't go into detail at the moment but all in all it just feels a lot like the S3 and the amount of crap software Samsung have loaded onto the phone is beyond a joke (but of course I can fix this).
Screen is very nice, as is the outdoor performance of the camera.
I went for this phone in the end and asked the guys in the EE shop specifically could i select 2g mode...
yes yes yes they both replied.
Got it back home yesterday. set it all up and BAM no 2g mode so the areas that im mainly in, that i normally just lock the phone to 2g mode are now virtually impossible to make/receive a call as its just flicking between 2g/3g
Is this option there on a custom rom?
cheers
I am running Probam and for some reason the status bar/notification pull down is not showing on my home screen. Lock screen and within apps it is there, any ideas?
Also is there anyway to set default save location for pictures and videos to SD card. Can't seem to find the option on the ASOP camera.
Cheers in advance
its changed quite easily.
enter your settings, its under Connections/more networks/mobile networks/network mode
3 settings in there:
GSM/WCDMA auto, where it selects the best connection itself.
GSM only, 2G
WCDMA only, 3G+ and data connection.
isn't that basically the same thing as turning off data or do you want to keep GPRS?
It's a new setting in the latest version of ProBAM is auto-hide status bar, make sure it's turned off in the settings and then make sure that the option hasn't been turned on somehow in your launcher, I use Apex and found that although the option wasn't selected it was still using it, ticking then unticking the auto-hide feature did the trick.
They are all stable roms [Alpha builds tend to have problems BUT they are alpha's!].
Foxhound, CM10.1, PACMan, ProBAM, PA, are all really good ROMS.
If you want STOCK STOCK android experience then try the Google Edition Rom.
Foxhound keeps all of the Samsung features but adds stock android theming. You can install a slim version of the rom which only installs the essential features or the full with all the features. You can also add Samsung apps if you need them later.
PACMan, ProBAM, PA, CM10.1 are all based on stock android.
PACMan and ProBAM combine roms together for more features [CM10.1/PA/AOKP]
Personally i prefer FoxHound as i get to keep the top notch camera quality as i take a lot of photos.
They are all excellent ROMS and you will not be disappointed with any of them.
All are regularly updated too.
