Anyone having an issue with Nova Launcher where no matter if you set it to be the default launcher sometimes you get the popup asking which launcher to use and always/just once.
 
If you're rooted just use something like titanium to freeze the other launchers then you shouldn't have a problem.

On my s4 when I press apps its the same background as the main phone screen. Is there a way to change this so its a dark colour? as I have issues seeing the name of the apps (I am reg blind.) :)
 
What is the latest baseband version I am running MF8 i am guessing this is out of date now?

Also when i did the baseband update via Odin i noticed i stopped receiving notifications from my emails. I have to go into my email and sync even though i am setup to do this every 15 mins.

Any help I would be grateful.

How am not finding it. Great to be honest. Focal is still rubbish but otherwise top banana. It has new sliding animations that weren't there before. Had distortion issues with the bundled DSP but installing viper4android fixed that and then some. Battery life is as good as expected. Liking it a lot :)

I honestly can't remember if the stock launcher does it, but other launchers like nova and apex do and they both have free versions available on the play store :)

I would highly recommend Nova, especially because it has a lot of features that will be useful for you :)

  • Changes the SELinux from permissive to enforcing (someone care to explain that)
  • Read only system
  • Constant 'Prevention information' errors about apps

It may be in preparation for KNOX. Some are even saying they are going to change to Sony if this continues - can't be said lightly ;):p

Worth mentioning if you update to MGG/MH8 you'll have flashed a locked bootloader and can't go back and downgrade (as of now). And that included your nandroids.

Did you do that in dev option, so know you have no animations at all?

If you force JB app animation in Nova does that change it?

Yeah it was in the Dev Options, and I realised that but I just couldn't stand the windows flying around, lol.

I just tried the Nova options set to JB and it made no difference whilst the animations were disabled. I put the setting back to 0.5x and it seems to have done the trick. Thanks for that :)
