Hmmm those flying screenshots worry me slightly as the freeway isn't that busy and in the 6th picture there appeares to be no cars at all. I withold judgement until I have the game though as it may feel more busy when you are on the street or be time of day dependant.

In saying that though, the distance you can see and everything else looks amazing :D Still amazed they can pull this level of detail off on such an old console.

These already a couple of videos showing freeways and they're packed.
 
From the bits of leaks I have seen I am very confused about the car damage physics.

What I have seen is discussed here:

The initial video showed a car driving into a wall with damage that looked like it came from San Andreas where the bumper crumpled a little and the bonet flipped up. But it was nothing like GTA IV

In a second video someone drove off a cliff and the car exploded on impact this also looked unrealistic but you could at least see the wheels and doors come off etc. However it looked more like it was packed with high explosives rather than a car crashing then setting on fire.

In a third video I saw a car do a crazy flip where the physics looked all wrong, it landed on it's roof on the side of a big boulder then rolled off and seemed to have 0 damage.

In the official videos from rockstar there is no damage to cars ever shown that I can find.

My guess is that will be a feature for PC and XBone PS4 etc....

Bit disapointing

Rest of the game looks amazing....
 
Has anyone contacted Shopto to see what their stance is? Would be interesting as my post doesn't come till about 1pm so if they not going to send out on Saturday then I best get a retail store pre order down and go pick up first thing.
 
I can't remember if I asked this already - but what's the story with regards to restricted areas? Are parts of the map unavailable at the beginning (as in every major GTA game so far) or are you free to go absolutely everywhere?

The map is blurred out until you visit it but there is nothing to stop you going wherever you want to make the map visible.
 
I don't think many of the sites will get them out any earlier then Tuesday, they all seem to in an agreement with Rockstar.

I would guess that having so many pre-orders that they are marking the orders down as dispatched, then piling them up ready for collection from couriers on Monday.

Well, since i'm attending midnight launch i'll be guaranteed my copy with no shipping delays (Special Edition)! I've joined the GTA V Sig club too.

It's going to be hard because our copies arrive at HQ on Monday... so it's sat there tempting and teasing me, but I always wanted to attend a midnight launch at some point.
 
Seems a big risk for Shopto considering they offer credit if you do not get on release day, and we all know how Royal Mail can be.

I'm in NY until Monday anyway just aslong as I get first thing Tuesday I'll be happy.

Whats with the italics? Fair enough then, I haven't watched any of the leaked videos. Trying to sustain myself on a few leaked screenshots until it is delivered.

GTA:V sigs FTW! I don't fancy attending a midnight launch but I am tempted to, if my copy doesn't come Monday, go to my local supermarket to pick it up after midnight.

Get in touch with them apparently it's an error their end and they will upgrade your delivery FREE of charge. (that's what I did, not it's all showing correctly)
