Pretty sure there are employment laws against saying such things?? You have a right to take your holiday for whatever reason you want??

They have to authorize it, if they need staff in on that specific day and it is not a sufficient reason to grant it then they can reject it.

I've taken whole weeks off work when MMO's have been released. My holiday so my choice what I use it for. One thing I try to do is not care what other people use their holiday for as it's got **** all to do with me.

I have taken 3 weeks off in November as there are lots of games I want to play. (obviously there are other reasons as well)

I tried to get tomorrow off, as it would actually mean about 6 days off work, but couldn't

Only significant difference sounds like the ground textures issue. Sounds pretty bad for a graphics whore like myself though - I ordered the 360 version. Wonder if the issue might be 'patchable', though I doubt it.

Yes I took a day off to play the game. It is fairly normal in my industry. Also, I wouldn't take it off if we were busy.

People looking down on others for taking a day off are morons. Holiday is for personal use, what ever it may be.
