Getting iOS7 onto my iphone :)

Eats battery on 4S like mad. I hope this is just "snitches" and indexing working in a background after update.

I had 70% battery (4s user) when I went to bed last night and it was as dead as a Dodo when I woke this morning. That is just in standby. I have done a reset since to set it back to default settings on IOS 7 and it does seem better on this charge.

There's some settings that should be turned off like update apps in the background. I'm guessing that's always working while connected to wifi.

If you do that the notifications screen stop updating. Which brings me to another bug:
Weather on notification screen is driven by Yahoo app which is now extremely buggy. It features thee locations, one driven by GPS, one preset, one added at random. There is no immediately intuitive way to get rid of the unwanted locations, but you can add more. But what's worse, they don't update in one go, so you end up with magnificent golden turd like this:
ios7weather.jpg

Temperature in London at 14:55 is 15 degrees, while in London at 14:55 is 10 degrees, or 5 degrees in a random place you never asked about (and it's not, it's actually 11 and drizzle).

'Cause you're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no...

Wont bother updating to iOS7 in my IP5, only will keep this on my iPad.

Was hoping Apple would add portrait photo's in Messages (always been on iPads but never on iPhones?!?!) and quick replies to texts from the locked screen like I do with ByteSMS.

I be sticking to this until iOS7 has been jailbroken.

Yeah I have the same problem and its damn annoying. Tried everything, resetting to factory, resetting network settings, etc and nothing works.

hmmmm did you do a restore from iCloud or iTunes?

EDIT: mine just fixed itself! both phone number and e-mail have been activated :o

EDIT 2: ahhhh and now keyboard shortcuts aren't working a la iOS 6!

Well I updated the Ipad 2 to IOS7 and first impressions are I quite like it. Not used it enough to know everything still works ok but good so far.

Is there away to get the weather notification as a 5/7 day like the other OS did when you pulled down the top screen bar ?

Can't seem to find a way of doing it and it's driving me up the wall atm .

Thanks.

That's gone. All you have is oneliner in notification of what the weather at the last GPS based update was during last check.

Swipe from right to left on locations and you can delete them. Then you can add using the + sign and search for a location. Sometimes it won't pick up the location you type, so re-enter it and it should do it.

You can not delete the actual location you are in as that's based on GPS/Where you are.

EDIT: You can also hold down on locations to arrange them in the order which you prefer.

How does it run on the ipad 2? I updated my iphone 5 yesterday but not my ipad. Just a bit dubious with the older iPad 2 in case it turned out to be another iphone 3g & ios 4 situation

Even though the iPad 2 is old and you have the iPad mini which is basically the same spec. The iPad 2 has a dual core CPU and 512 ram, so upgrading it to iOS 7 shouldn't effect the performance. Like it could do on the stand iPhone 4 (not dual core CPU). So you shouldn't get the 3g & ios 4 situation again.
