What film did you watch last night?

Just watching Xmen last stand (think that's the name, last of the original trilogy) it is sooooo terribly bad.

I hated it first time round, its even worse on a rewatch, shocking.

It was as if a bunch of teenagers got together and decided to make a film, for a laugh.
The adults then came along after the movie was complete, added some CGI, didnt change any of the story/script and then released the movie.

If this came on the TV, without any marketing, most people would probably change the channel within 10 minutes.

As an adult, watching 6 grown men play soccer with a man's head didnt amuse me at all.
A bunch of guys singing about panties - not funny.
There are other scenes which are silly and not funny...the list is endless.

Perhaps being stoned or drunk while watching the movie would help.

PS. I gave it 4/10 because there were some scenes which made me laugh. The best was when they address the "elephant in the room" - 6 guys, 1 girl and the possibility of rape.

felt like they tried to remake shaun of the dead with aliens instead of zombies utter rubbish

What does Sean of the Dead have to do with 'This is the End, a crappy American comedy with little to no humour? More to the point, where are the aliens in 'This is the End', as I thought it was the rapture. Are you sure you're not getting it confused with 'The World's End'?
 
I can't even bring myself to try the world's end as I really can't stand Simon pegg, don't find him funny and he's annoying in everything. Ruined ghost protocol for me and is a blister on the star trek reboot.

I mixed up

this is the end
the worlds end

two different films that sound a like.

I have honestly watched them both and for some reason have blanked out this is the end. although I was watching it drunk.

Its an average film, turn off brain 6/10
kids like this film, its a win

Maybe the next one they'll ease off a little and make a proper film. Sequels are about bucks, Im sure they consider this one a sucess; other opinions are irrelevant and frankly illogical :p
 
I Give It A Year - 4/5
Often side splittingly amusing take on newly-weds gone wrong; not in a slapstick style. Stephen Merchant steals the show in some scenes for being the most innapropriate, toe-curlingly embarassing human being on earth. Seriously worth a watch. 8/10

This is the End - 2/5 - Raised a few laughs but overall can pretty much be described as a childish, self indulgent, yelling, sweary fest. Advise watching after (at least) a few beers.
