Awesome, Diablo 3 will be infinitely better without that auction house, it was a bad idea from the get go.
Now all they need is ladder seasons and it's back on track![]()
Ladder would be blissful I miss those days.
I'd say more the release date for Loot 2.0 as they have implied that taking down the Auction Houses is due in part to Loot 2.0, and we know it's coming before the expansion so expansion is probably April / early May.So is March 18th 2014 the release date for RoS? Would make sense...
I too want to try this but don't want to fork out 30 notes for something that all I ever see is crying from the community. Seems to be a common thing with Blizzard games though.
Can someone give a neutral view on this RMAH, am I restricted in any way by not using it? Can I get the same items I see in the AH in game? If not then I'm out unless it's purely cosmetic and not beneficial.
Copy and paste:
When we initially designed and implemented the auction houses, the driving goal was to provide a convenient and secure system for trades. But as we've mentioned on different occasions, it became increasingly clear that despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot. With that in mind, we want to let everyone know that we've decided to remove the gold and real-money auction house system from Diablo III.
Translation: The playerbase has dropped off so much with so few people using the RMAH that is it no longer worthwhile maintaining the system.
Definitely the best move they could have made. Will probably mean a full priced expansion though!
So AH being removed prior to expansion means current loot will be worthless as will gold, so more like D2s economy? Hmmm...![]()
