Definitely. :)

Once it starts tasting consistently burnt, at the price they're at just chuck it and replace.

Or if you're using a VV mod, dial down the voltage. I honestly couldn't get any of my Protank heads to not burn at anything above 3.6v, so I'm back to carto tank for now.

I pay about £10 for 5 heads at 2.5ohm resistance...havent been able to find them cheaper anywhere else.

My tanks burn at 4 volts easily on my provari mini...i get a nice taste and hit at that voltage.

selling these few bits as i have too much stuff now, can be bought altogether for £30 that includes delivery 1st class ( put on here before it goes on vaping forums etc)

there is 10 mill of hangsen 18mg blueberry, very decent blueberry taste, 40 mill possibly a tad more of accies ambrosia 18mg http://ukvapers.org/Thread-Accies-Ambrosia--34185 ( bit like GVC but not as strong) a lovely custardy vape. I have another 50 mill so its is surplus.

KTS mechanical mod ( it is telescopic so you can use any battery, seen here in 18350 mode more info here, i will throw in an 18350 battery. review here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdY8OZ-JjgY

just under 50 mill of atomic cinnacide the label says its 24mg and all PG, this tastes like fireball jawbreakers if anyone recalls, i think this came from someone on here, its amazing but its far too strong for my setup i use now. Here is pbusardos review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJdL6MOXl6w

heres a pic

Really? I'd love for mine to do that. Tried both the 1.8 and 2.5 ohm heads... on either of them, as soon as I hit it above let's say 3.8 to be extreme, it's burnt taste city on the Protank. I have it connected to a Lavatube.

Hmmm thats interesting but ive had 3 protanks that didnt work at any voltage and didnt matter which resistance i used, 2 of them i gave away and the 3rd ive sent back for a replacement. My other 2 protanks work perfectly fine.

Could be a faulty protank, does it pull nicely?? as my 3 felt like pulling liquid through a tiny noodle lol.

A word of warning. I thought the KFL came with a glass tank, but it is also polycarb. So if you've ordered Scorpion blood, do NOT put it in a polycarb tank, it will **** it up. Glass or Metal tanks only.

Boiled some cotton. dried it out. Made a 1.8 ohm coil and using 3.8V the flavour is immense with a saturated vape and no dry hits. Honestly it's the best wicking material I have tried. Much better than bastos, silika and ekowool.

With cotton you can't dry burn at initial setup and you have to ensure that the tank is always full of juice, because once it burns then it's game over.

Nope, the draw in the original protank was really airy (too airy for me, to be honest, so I was bumping up the voltage to get a decent hit).

Then I heard that the draw in the Protank 2 was tighter, so ordered one of those. Pretty much exactly the same experience as the version 1, lol. :)

Possibly, like i said i change mine every 2 weeks but sometimes i leave it for 3 weeks and i dont get a burnt taste. I tend to wash out my tanks on a weekly basis along with the head as well then leave it to dry overnight.

i found the vamoMod just burnt everything taste wise, a 900 ego battery suits me...

now in regards to these heads what does the difference between the 'ohm' and best place to purchase?

Can you chain vape wet cotton wool as well as silica? I tend to vape non stop for half an hour and set my ecig down for a couple of hours

Long awaited China vapemail arrived :D

Fasttech 618 6-in-1 e-pipe here.

Must admit I'm not huuuuugely impressed, reasonable amount of vapour with the atty that ships with it, but I keep hearing that the atty leaks on to the air-activated switch, gumming it up and blocking the switch. I'm planning on using it with a Kanger Protank 2 and a nice long drip tip, but as the batteries are weedy little 18350s and it's not a variable mod (by any stretch of the imagination) I need to get some nice low resistance heads to get a decent amount of vapour.

It's perfect - almost exactly how I vape - the cotton holds a surprising quantity of juice and provided it's kept wet, it wicks as well and as fast as you need it to. I'd say it's on a par with SS Rope for wicking speed, but none of the flavour change.

The rule with cotton though: Less is More! Don't try cramming tightly rolled, massively compressed wool into a Spheroid (or through a mega-microcoil like I have in my Nautilus) as you'll compromise the wicking ability. It works best stretched slightly and very gently twisted.

I can't remember the name of the reviewer who sussed this out, but he's the obese one with low-level Downs Syndrome and a squeaky American accent. I seriously can't watch more than a few seconds of any of his videos before I feel like ending it all via the one-step express exit of my 13th Floor flat (AKA: The Kitchen Window!):p

Im running a Micro Coil and Cotton wool in my Kayfun, not sure ive done it right but its working perfectly, .30mm kanthal 10 wrap around 1.5mm bit came to 1.3ohm perfect. Think ive used a bit too much cotton as it was a struggle getting it in there and sometimes theres a stupidly odd taste that lingers at the back of your mouth, but so far its not given me any dry hits as you would get on silica at times.

Have you tried the navy nest setup? It should still work with cotton, i set my KFL up with it and imo its much better than a normal wick setup. I have never had a dry hit and it improves the flavour even more.
Vid here if u didnt see it http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pdXjBWf8Pc0

@Roalith, i would always recoil anything i got form China unless its an authentic make.

Any old cotton wool do, RedMogg?

Measured my clearo when I got home ~1.5ohm. Murderised two full ego batteries and most of the 1300mah eGo V V2 I bought the other day from jessjess

Must be pure untreated cotton like cotton pads for makeup etc...
If you are not sure, give them a quick boil and let air dry (which can take ages).
There are some guides on youtube on how to set it up eg. cant be too tightly rolled, never dry burn etc...

Organic, unbleached, baby's bum cotton wool from the Spawn Section of Asda is perfick - you can boil it as per reccs - but I don't bother. If it's pure enough for my child's rusty sheriff's badge... etc!:p
