The quran is very similar to the bible, it was based on the same stories. The Arabian leaders / war Lords saw how the Jewish and Christian populous was so easily taught/led/manipulated/controlled by the individuals "at the top" they pretty much translated the same stories but added in their own historical figure (perhaps Muhammad PBUH was a famous war lord or great leader) to sell to their populous.

This is what I've come to believe from my research. Regardless of how things began and what has been done in their name, we are at a stage in civilisation where we have morals instilled via other means so religion need not exist in the mainstream. I'd say the UK is probably one of the most advanced political structures in regard to this, from my limited knowledge.

Being an atheist will not save you when they put a gun against your head.
By that time you will have capitulated to their soft demands, their insidious insertion into community in the same of culture, freedom of expression, religious freedom.
By that time your grandchildren will not be atheist, they will be learning the words of an alien language written in a Sanskrit, with most likely not understanding, but learning the words, as if they don't, there will be consequences.
Atheism isn't an answer. Neither is religion. Strong political will, and the preservation of some form of non-invasive culture is potentially the answer. There is no one left who will ignore what the focus groups tell them and actually tackle the problem directly. The will of the moderate people is weak and soft, and as such they are steamrollered into the ground.

Islam is actively more aggressive now than it ever has been, on a global scale. The ethnic cleansing within Africa over the past 20-30 years is immense, and continues. The UN have sat back and done nothing, and that will continue.

You might want to view how conversion works.
How marriages are forbidden unless people are of the same religion, even governmental marriages rather than religious marriages, and then revaluate.

It doesn't need a sword, when it is all done with a pen!

Exactly, if you want proof look no furthery than Sweden and other Countries in Europe. Too PC and moderate and.afraid to speak out for fear of being branded a racist or facist.

Sadly there are quite a few historical records that directly contradict the idea that Islam does not do forced conversions, either directly with threats of violence or indirectly via monetary punishments and travel restrictions.
 
Well I think this thread has gone sufficiently off topic to be unsalvageable. It's a shame that this couldn't avoid muslim bashing.
