Hey scorch, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the clone:rolleyes: I'm sure you'll get it sorted, did you get your Kayfun lite?

Got my Kayfun mini today, just set it up and im pleasantly surprised, easy to set up and vapes great :D:D
mmmmm apple pie and custard :D

nice patina going on the podliac. :)
whole thing looks great

OK now I really want to get into this vaping but I gave up smoking over 2 years ago but as I understand it you can get nicotine free juice?

You can but I don't know why you'd want to if you are smoke free... Some juices like GVC do taste lovely... but so does real vanilla custard :p

Can someone spec me some 18650 batteries and a charger that won't blow up and not from FT (with the battery shipping troubles they've been having...) please :)

I understand that but I really still do miss smoking and I think I could get on with this. I would imagine it would be very relaxing just sitting back and "vaping" And TBH Im hoping once the missus sees it and tries it out she may convert?

Nitecore i4 intellicharger - it's possibly the only thing I've paid full retail price for since starting this slippery slope
I bought mine direct from www.nitecore.co.uk, for around £28 delivered, but there are cheaper elsewhere. I was prompted to invest in one after my Chinese charger, bundled in my Vamo kit, caught fire, on my bed side table! I'm a bloody idiot for even taking the chance with it in the first place and will never put my family's lives in danger like that again.

For batteries, Torchy the battery boy on Ebay and UKVapers (he has his own retailer section) is unbeatable - you can email your order directly to save 10% on his Ebay prices.

If you want highly rated, high Amp capable batteries, essential for "sub-ohm" vaping, I think the Sony 30A ones www.fasttech.com/product/1315400 (link just for reference )are the go-to choice, but anything Torchy (Jim) has put his name to will be of proven quality. I have some 2100mAh Panasonic cells bought from Slowtech that have been excellent in the Vamo. They're protected too, so I can safely use them in my Sigelei 19B, but only over 1.0 ohm.

If you don't mind ordering from China, Efest are great: www.efestbattery.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=883 don't post out of HK, (iirc) so the wait shouldn't be too hard. Check out the IMR, Panasonic, Sanyo & Sony cells and avoid anything with Fire in the name. I can email you some links tomorrow if I've got the site address wrong and recommended batteries to look at (on my phone now).

TL;DR Don't scrimp on the batteries or charger - spending a few more beer-nuggets could literally save your life.

Although I am just starting out I really want to go the whole hog and get a mod and a rebuildable tank as I like building things up so actually setting it up would be a big part of the vaping for me.

What mods/tanks do you guys recommend and what do I actually need to buy to get going.

I wouldnt be against spending £100 for everything or a bit more for some nice kit. Cheers

My advice would be to start small - save your pennies for trying different flavours (which can soon get pricey) and get yourself either a starter pack from www.vapeland.co.uk (tell them Ollie sent you - no benefit to me, I just know the owner and happy for him to know I'm sending business his way) or a couple of 1100mah EGO-T batteries and a couple of Evod, ProTank or the like. Don't forget a charger (which the kit includes).
They sell genuine Vision & Kanger kit, plus the after sales service is spot on, however the juice is not the best available (compared to Scope's, or other prominent Mixologists)

Once you've found what you want (more vapour, throat hit, flavour etc), then you'll know better which direction to go for kit - shiny brass or titanium mechanical mods, or a hard to find Genesis Atomizer by RocketScienceMods, or the ever desirable Caravela/Hellfire/Foggatti Hybrid ... Or even a custom sculpted Meerschaum pipe or Billet Box...

Vaping's a very fast growing and quickly evolving industry, literally by the week. The more you vape and read (www.ukvapers.org and other forums are excellent sources), the more you'll learn about what's right for you and your own evolving tastes.

Take it easy, start slowly and make smart, informed decisions about where to spend your hard-earned. You'll soon go broke if you try and jump in at the deep end, chasing after every piece of new, shiny kit that's released. You'll also go bonkers playing F5 Wars with "Those types" :p

Many of you might have already seen the latest SWOF video but it hasn't been linked here and should be so here you go.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTHGsTPklY4

Covers the basics of why leading experts in harm reduction don't think e-cig should be more regulated than the most harmful from of using nicotine (smoking) The SWOF documentary is coming along well but they are having a really hard time getting anyone not in support to talk on camera to make it a balanced and creditable piece. Worth tweeting or emailing to your MP / MEP if you have dialogue with them.

no, not watched it yet. But I did read that America are ready to roll out the legislation as kids are taking to them like sweets. With the increasing horror stories fueled by media propaganda and people who can't read safety instructions for charging is not helping the cause in the UK and is giving the government more ammunition for regulation.

Still less deaths than those caused by shoelaces...

Perhaps there ought to be legislation brought in preventing bloody idiots restricting the sale of a legal, far less dangerous tobacco alternative, and the growth of a potential trillion dollar global industry; along the lines of:
"Restrictions Encompassing Totally Ambiguous and Ridiculous Decisions"
...it could be called The RETARD Act...

This "save the children" lark is starting to make me despair.

Ready to legislate what comes tantamount to a ban of the products because children have begun using them? Why not just legislate a minimum age for sale, as with tobacco cigarettes, with real punishments for supplying to those under age?

Then if kids manage to get their hands on them, which they will, just as they will their parents'/friends'/acquaintences' cigarettes then maybe it's not so bad that they're puffing on something massively less harmful.

But nah, save the kids... make sure all they get is that which is guaranteed to harm them.

Retarded indeed.

E-cigs have been a saviour for me.

Was only a brief 2 month affair but am now off all smoking/vaping and know I won't return.

Couldn't and wouldn't have done it without the few months vaping.

I failed yesterday...smoked 2 normal smokes and 3 roll-ups...got work at 7.30am and my battery had already died...I left work at 4pm, so on my breaks I was begging people for a smoke lol...

Can't wait for my K100 + RSST to arrive from Fasttech...

Don't beat yourself up about it - you lapsed, big deal... It'll just teach you to backup your backup of your backup device. Perhaps buy an EGO-T & charger to just keep at work...

I had 3 eGo batteries, 1 broke when the button got stuck so it fires at the lightest of touch, the 2nd from Fasttech is iffy, sometimes fails to fire, and my 3rd I forgot to charge, so it was dead...
