So, if everything we have will be banned, what happens to the stuff we have on order and have payed for? What happens if we stock-piled juice making things, and would people like Grant and the guy who makes Apple Tart be banned from making it? How would they be policed if we dealt with them via e-mail?

There won't be a ban starting tomorrow, although the vote tomorrow will have a large impact on the fight. The effective 'ban' would take place in 2016 and if the vote goes against us tomorrow, it will be a big blow. You'll be helping yourself and others in a big way if you take to twitter and send a message to your MEPs. Also sign the Chris Davies petition that majnu posted!

MEPs are due to vote on new legislation regulating the sale of tobacco products Today.

The move includes proposals by the EU Tobacco Products Directive for health warnings to cover 75 percent of cigarette packets and bans on flavoured (including menthol) and “slim” cigarettes, as well as the proposal to re-classify electronic cigarettes.

Nic will still be regulated but not at 4mg/ml but will remain at 30mg/ml. I'll watch vvtv tonight at 9 to find out exactly what's happening.

This was a big battle. If 170 had failed we'd have nothing to negotiate over. I still agree it is only one of many battles to come, I also think the final outcome will allow member states to be more heavy handed that the TPD outlines so we likely have the MRHA to fight too.
