^, that explains it then, pretty sure the house I bought doesn't have one. got the house near the marina for about $150,000. i'll probably have to look at buying another soon.

^^typical we all posted about the heists in quick succession^^

When they unlocking the Heists, i've got over 200k and ready to purchase a Heist ready apartment.
 
I managed to get on for a few hours last night and apart from one timeout on a mission it was working pretty well, had quite a bit of fun!

Got up to Level 9 and have $46k in the bank. Races are a lot of fun as well as some of the missions; 'Top Fun' is a right laugh and also played a few missions which were higher ranked.

Finding that until I can unlock any sort of rifle i'm using the .50 pistol; the mini SMG isn't that good IMO. Some of the TDM matches will be a bit hard until I level up but not to worry, running over people will do lol.

If so then I've no idea, afaik you just need one then you should be good to go.

The heists aren't in it but I was reading about it, apparently it is with the next content update which adds some beach clothing and a couple of vehicles IIRC. Though it annoys me about the you need an apartment, as originally all I saw was you needed an apartment but seems to be quoted now as need one with a heist planning room. If that is the case it would be nice to know which ones have it and which ones don't. I bought a 130k apartment as the 400k ones seemed too much when only earning 9k at most per mission but I will be annoyed if it turns out my 130k isn't enough to need to sell it as that would be a waste of 65k :(

Sort of. When you buy another the game will sell the previous one however someone was saying on chat the other night you get half the value. I don't know whether this includes garages or not though as would be cool to be able to have a house with 10 car garage plus another 10 car garage.

PS3 Online Fix ???

I've heard of a few people deleting the patches & install data then re installing & taking just the 2nd patch. Apparently it is the first patch ******* things up which makes sense to me as I had no probs at all until the 1st patch.
I did this myself last night & had no probs at all joining servers or hopping about from server to server.

I honestly can't say whether it's a coincidence that it works for me now when before I did this I couldn't even get on or if I did I got kicked at the end of 1st mission.
I shall post back if I get more issues.

Thought I'd stick this out there see if anybody else wants to try. One of the most frustrating things about this whole situation is I am used to this Game day release **** with PC games but with the PC at least you can fiddle & find a work around.
Doing this made me feel better whether it sorted it or not. :p

I am now back online, Well for now at least. :rolleyes: + :D

I have not had any issues personally since the second patch was released. I may give this a go anyway just to be sure :)
 
I'd leave it as is if it's working properly & saving your stats, I was in the position where it didn't work at all & had lost untold stats/money which is why I tried the above.
 
Aye, I'm not touching it while it's working lol. Last night was the first night I didn't feel like throwing the disc into the garden, good online fun with no issues for about 5hrs.

On that basis I'd say R* might just be getting somewhere with it.
 
Well another patch is due out which will hopefully stop people losing there stats. I think this is critical to whether the game has legs or falls on it's face.
The one saving grace is that they want to introduce micro transactions into the game & make profit so they will be trying like **** to get it sorted or nobody will get there cash out.
I think they will be chucking every single resource they have into sorting the online out so they can start coining it in with there micros.
 
Ah yeah "real cash" for in-game Dollars? I'd read about that but all went quiet about it so thought they'd binned the idea.

Loosing game save/stats/character is definitely critical to weather the game is a success or falls on it's face, If you gain nothing or progress as you play there is no point.

Its good that you get cash even if you don't win however it makes the other game modes not as attractive as it seems its win or nothing in some of them.

That was my fault, I caught up with the bikes and was doubling back lol. I hate that because you could spend up to 20 minutes on a mission and walk away with nothing.
 
Pay real money to buy GTA currency, lose currency due to bugs. Lol. Imagine if that happened.

*Yes I know they have suspended buying currency at the moment.

Is online working better now?
 
Playing last night it was fine, played 9pm - midnight without any problems. I joined a few games in progress and didn't suffer any really long waits or server messages. Saturday it all went wrong around 12:30 - 1am which is about when the US come online but can't test those times during the week.
