Heating on yet ?

no not just yet, holding off as long as possible. live on my own so i'm lucky i can do what i want, but when i have visitors or the GF is round the heat needs to go on usually

I'll bet the politicians aren't moaning and saying, hey guys have you put the heating on yet? think I'll need to put a jumper on.

Yet at the same time they leave Westminster windows open on cold nights and the heating/lighting on while hardly anyone is in. Remember when you saw the thermal imaging on Westminster via Sky News?

Up until a few of days ago we've kept a couple of upstairs windows open nearly 24/7 as it's been too warm, especially in the baby's room. We've still not given in just yet and put the heating on, but all windows and vents are now closed as it was getting a tad nippy!

I found the best way of keeping the house cool in the warmer period was to leave the loft hatch slightly open, as well as the windows! :)

I've had to give in today - and shut my bedroom window. It was getting a little bit chilly :)

Still no heating, only put a coat on yesterday evening for the first time since May :)

I think the the temperature is fine at the minute but the other half is moaning incessantly! May have to start putting the heating on as of the weekend.

I never turn it off, If it gets cold it comes on if it's hot it stays off. It's magic :) or some kind of fancy thermostat thing I don't really understand.

anyway my heating got fixed today.
turned it on with the thermostat at 20
felt boiling and turned it back off lol must have adjusted to the cold weather whilst it was broken

Mine is like a tablet and has loads of different temp settings for times of the day it detects temp changes as well.

My wife worked it out and I just stay away. The last time I touched it I reset everything including the hot water.

I can haz no thermostat! :D

Electric heaters on the wall that I have to switch on/off on each one.

They're only 5 years old, so remarkably efficient. They can be programmed with a timer, but that means leaving them on at the mains, and as I survived the whole of last winter with an electric bill of just £26 a month, (everything in the flat, including the hot water system is electric) I prefer being stingy with what gets left on at the plug :D

Jesus Christ, wish I hadn't checked the weather forecast now. :(
