I don't know much about the Mccann saga, who thinks what - or whether the parents were involved, trying to find information about it is very difficult without falling into minefields of people selling books exposing lies,

I seem to remember a quote from Kate saying she regretted a lot of what was in the book, but was advised to make it as salacious as possible to sell more copies, make more money and raise awareness. I think she even talked about her and Gerry’s sex life too.

Yes, it is evidence. What it points to and with what strength is what lawyers debate about - but it is evidence. You seem to misunderstand the difference between evidence and proof.
A dog, that in over 200 cases, has never been proven wrong.
If there was any evidence then the police would have arrested them but your barking up the wrong tree with this.
I hope you're right, but cases like Rachel Manning and indeed the Ariel Castro case do make you wonder how many others there are who haven't yet been caught or if they ever will.
Well, on the back of this, the Portuguese Po Po did place them under suspicion as suspects.
