So good to be on 4.3 without the KNOX bootloader :D

Patiently waiting for KitKat GPE!

nikzGfx: Just what exactly is better with 4.3? I was on it (FH3.0) for a whole 24 hours before I went back to 4.2 (FH2.0).. The only difference I could see were things missing/not working from my 4.2 setup.. Even if everything was working as they should, I really didnt see much difference in the two versions - it wasnt any faster, all the menus looked just about the same.. Am I missing something?

Nothing much has improved to be honest. It still works the same with Ausdim kernel. 4.2.2 was working extremely well with me I had a great setup but just got the upgrade itch. 4.3 brings things under the hood like OpenGL, active notifications, etc.

Unlucky Andy. How did it happen?

At a track day on Monday, no good place to keep it in my leathers between sessions, so kept resting it on my lap. Forgot, quite literally, about 5 times and stood up, it falling onto the cold, hard garage floor. The fifth time, it had finally broke.

I guess I've dropped phones so many times and nothing has ever happened, I probably never thought it would (not that any were intentional).

Got a cheap N4 (with a cracked screen, but looks minimal) for only £90 on eBay, so I'll have something half decent to use while I get the S4 fixed.

I cracked the LCD on mine. Took it to an authorised Samsung repair place, they sorted it for £120, genuine LCD. No idea if that came with the glass, it only took them 15 minutes to do though.

Haven't noticed a single difference between 4.2.2 and 4.3. Been having strange SD card problems; files keep reappearing after I have deleted them. Just formatted the SD card, fingers crossed. I am about to install 13.1 :)

This is getting annoying now. Formatted my SD card through explorer, everything went fine. Copied content back over, just plugged my phone into my PC and everything is back again. How and why!??

Think I lost my 16GB card. Something is definitely wrong. Copied Omega 13.1 to the card, looked fine but when you load recovery it isn't there.

Doesnt SanDisk have a limited warranty?

Just found it, thanks. Completely buggered. Lucky I could get the data off. Can I still update to Omega 13.1 storing the ROM on my internal memory and doing a full wipe?

Replacement coming tomorrow, great service :)

Anyone want to tell me how to go back to stock Android? Want to keep the phone rooted but a bit bored of custom ROMs. Don't really use the extra features you get and so all I seem to gain is the occasional random reboot. Is it as simple as downloading a zip from somewhere and installing it or is it more complicated? and where can I get the necessary files?

Cheers.

Do you actually mean stock Android or do you mean the stock S4 ROM?

Ended up on Foxhound 3.0 this morning, went well actually with no real issues so far, Left most things at default during install

3.1 due soon

Anyone know how I can get dashclock widget to run with a pattern/pin enabaled?

My 64GB Sandisk card has completely died. Almost seemed like a short as the phone got really hot in the area where the card was and the battery life dropped like a stone. Took the card out and the battery is ok now. Tried the card in another phone and got the same problem so it's definitely the card. Bought it from the jungle so should be ok for a warranty claim. Is the Samsung 64 GB card still the preferred choice?
