both on windows 8.1 as far as i know , yes he had his score over 11k earlier.

You were the guy. Over 11k on a stock clocks? Not bad.

I will give it a go tomorrow when testing the cards but I won't be going flat out until I have them on water.

Watch out for the Extreme Preset in 3dmark11, I have the feeling that it is going to take quite a pounding, but that is going to have to wait for couple weeks until I can get all four up and running together.

My asus has serious coil whine. Doesn't really bother me but it's there all the same. I know some people whinge about it . Only get it when the cards flat out on loading screens and the like obviously.

All powerful cards do that, set a max frame limit in Afterburner or similar, I use 120

well had a play.
anything pass 1050 on core artefacts
anything pass 16% on memory and screen goes all funny

Cant see over clocking this without water block and different bios

The new driver didn't make a blind bit of different as far as my 3DMark score goes. I actually gained 2 points, going up to 9729.

Interesting. I wonder if those performance improvements only relate to the 290X cards? To find another 10% on BF3 and Dirt Showdown is interesting. Nice to see another 5% for Sleeping Dogs as well. I will be able to check those games as i took benchmarks on them from 13.10 beta.

Almost certainly across GCN with varying amounts. The 290X isn't officially supported before in drivers, so they can't compare it against anything yet.

Yes i just checked and my sleeping dog average fps are up. Will check Dirt Showdown and Battlefield 3 tomorrow.

I'll be able to add my thoughts tomorrow and benchmarks.
I think what i'll do is run the benchmarks and games i have on my installed copy of win 8, then upgrade to win 8.1 and test again.

one's i'll run are:

valley
Heaven 4.0
3dmark 11
3dmark 13
Tombraider
Crysis 3
Dirt 3
Sleeping dogs

And a few other like arma 3, bioshock etc.

Let's hope my card gets here nice and early so i can get cracking!
