***Official Batman Arkham Origins Thread***

GFX settings dont save?

When i start the game its in a window then when the blabla is done gets to fullscreen.

Set everything at max and save (physx needs to restart the game). Restart and everything is at stock options again...

The GFXSettings.BatmanArkhamOrigins seems all good, even changed to read only, doesnt work.

Other then that game runs great on maxed out 8x aa

no one same prob? Doing a reinstall atm

The online feature is really good, a lot better then I thought it would have been to be honest!

So there's hours of fun just online, iv seen no bugs as of yet (PC Version - max everything)

Ok I fixed the game breaker I mentioned earlier...where it listed the wrong objectives.

I started another play through (speed run on easy) to see where the next objective that should be listed starts, it starts on a roof top at lacey towers, on the roof there are 3 cops and some satellite equipment, kill the cops and the objectives line up.

I'm also hearing you can hack the Burnley comms tower from outside of the room, avoiding the glitch.

EDIT: You CAN hack the Burnley comms from outside of the room (break window, climb out on to ledge and perform hack) but it doesn't register, so its still a no fly zone.

Been playing since release, Really enjoying the game. Few bugs but they have work arounds, graphics and gameplay really are that good :)

check out the steam forums for some known bugs + fixes INCLUDING Burnley comms FIX(sorta, its a glitch)

Makes no difference. To get that tower complete you need to get access to the roof to disable the jamming device and the only way up there is through the bugged vent :(

Yeah, bugged vent is ridiculous.

Did they even beta test the game? Such an obvious thing seemed to be overlooked.

Is quite fun, but more of the same as the last two games really. If anything it's more like the first one rather than City. That's not really a bad thing but it gets tiring facing more and more bad guys. 4 guys then 5 then 6 and a knife, then 5 and a gun etc etc. Would be much better to be able to freak them out so much they leave or sneak past them. The game forces you to beat up goon after goon.

Got to Deathstroke and not quite managing him just yet. Get to him with the sword and then I usually end up buying the farm. Will try again tomorrow. Controls aren't great with M&K. Bats needs to face where the camera is pointing but often he doesn't. Camera isn't great and many of the moves and animations are carried directly over from the previous games. Performance is excellent though.

Aw this sounds a bit disappointing. Even aside from all the bugs, the reviews are poor and the physx issues and buzzkills like that deadshot fight are starting to rule this out for me. Shame, the first two games were quality.

My mate just linked me this on Steam, "The multiplayer was produced by independent British developer Splash Damage".

We had a good laugh; I doubt I will even try multiplayer.

And my game folder is 18.4GB.

As for the city... wow, impressed, the new tall building really help add scope.

Splash Damage, from ET? Yeah, what do they know about fun multiplyer games?!
ET was terrible!!!!

Oh, wait.....

I thought the game was excellent, 8/10

The boss fights were awesome all the way through with each being uniquely different, yes it was more of the same but that isn't necessary a bad thing. Must say was a bit fed up of fighting towards the end as was so much of it.

Took about 24 hours to complete according to steam yet still got a few side missions to complete.

I encountered two glitaches in my entire play through, one being the Burnley Tower glitch (locked room and can get into vent) and fell through a lift on another mission, cant remember which one right now.

And only had the 1 crash in the entire play through. Performance was excellent on my OCed GTX 670 with all the bells and whistles, PhysX ran like a charm.

You could say it was a little unpolished but still an excellent game and well worth the £22.50 I paid for it. Perhaps if your hesitant pick it up when its around £15 on sale and some of the bugs are ironed out.

Batman does not kill

Haha, true. I should have phrased that as "Beat the cops within an inch of their lives and somehow they only loose consciousness" :p

Correct :(

Yeah, bugged vent is ridiculous.

Did they even beta test the game? Such an obvious thing seemed to be overlooked.

This is another case of "lets leave the beta testing to the paying customer"

I seem to have run into a pretty major gamebreaking bug.

When you meet the Mad Hatter and he zaps you into wonderland, you have to throw batarangs at lanterns to lower a bridge. But you cant AIM the batarangs, so you cant hit the lanters! Which means I'm now completely stuck!
