Gahhh just filled my KFL with some more raspberry juice and a few pulls later, burnt taste so had to empty the juice back into the bottle and clean out the KFL lol. Ill re-coil it and wick it later when i have some time to myself, but at the moment vaping kings custard in my protank for the time being.

Which reminds me i need to order some more raspberry juice from scope, think this time ill just order 100mls of the stuff...that should keep me going for some time.

Thanks j.col :) I didn't manage to get out the house today as I realised I'd be stuck in Diwali traffic which is normally gridlock around here! The cotton i linked to is the pleated sheets but they also sell the cotton wool balls. Is one easier to work with than the other?

DIY is going well, thanks. I've mainly stuck with tried and tested recipes, mainly from AAEC but I've been vaping Capella Lemon & Lime @ 20% unsweetened quite a lot. If there's any juice I could vape all week it would be that one. I've discovered that citrus mixes suit my palate very well.

To date, I've not made a juice that's I've not happily finished off which is a bit of a surprise!
 
been vaping scorpions blood for weeks. deffo a winner with that one! prefer it over snake oil!

any other suggestions on what to try next? i like aniseed flavours, but im open to trying anything!

Think its personal preference mate, aawatch who does the KFL reviews on ukvapers uses the pleated sheets, while some use the balls.

Same tbh, nearly every recipe i have tried so far is off AAEC.
I am well happy with my Custard, got my neighbour to do a blind taste test with mine & some GVC, he said its 95% the same, and would rather buy some off me (with a discount lol) than GVC.
The Lemon & Lime is still one of my fav juices, its just so fresh and zingy, perfect for an all day vape.
I have had a few bad mixes, but luckily when i try a new recipe i only mix 5ml, but strangely the ones i tend not to like my neighbour/son in law like them and ask me to make more lol, so taste is very subjective :)

As for Cotton choice - I use Asda's Little Angels' 100% Pure Organic Wool pleat - one section of pleat was torn off and put into a small poly bag in my daily vape-kit box and I have yet to make a significant dent into it, since starting the MicroCoil & Cotton journey...
Very good value, no funny taste or need to boil and is exactly what I'll be including in my Kits :p
 
Got a load of vape mail over the weekend.
A new Efest 4 port charger, with volt meter etc. I can't recommend it enough, a nice upgrade to my Xtar 2 port one.
I also got some new juices to try: Scopes Apple Tart and Strawberry, Vape Kings Custard and Cinnamon. So far loving the strawberry.

Oh defo staying polished here mate. If it is anything like the Kayfun delta then it will be a mirror shine. Brushed effect is easy to do yourself with some wet and dry, but getting a proper polish requires industrial machines if it is to be done properly hence why I'm sticking with my original order. :p
 
Where are you guys getting your Nic base these days? I'm finally running towards the end of a huge batch I bought 6 months ago, so it's time to stock up!

Interesting that it has a couple of new features ie the air flow screw and the fill port which now has a small o-ring.

Strangely enough i bought a pack of o-rings for my KFL the other day as i get a lot of leaking from the bottom screw on the fillport.

Might pick up one of these to go along my KFL.

Shame you cant just get the bottom part as a spare rather than buying a whole new KFL tank.
