** Call of duty ghosts (MW4) **

I'm uploading a video of everything on "Extra" or the highest settings where applicable at 2560*1440 (video downscaled to 1080p as that's what the majority of you are using) and I'll post again when it's ready. Don't expect great gameplay from me as the game runs like a turd.

image quality should be on native if its anything like MW3 as anything other than native will blur the screen.

THing is they've clearly put in massively different levels of effort throughout the game in single player at least.

You have area's that have lots of trees/plants and they look significantly better, but other area's that are more in city, have really bog standard decade old textures, I saw a random hotel luggage cart very early in the game and it looks hilariously awful and out of place, boxes the same, tables, sofas, the cars look pretty poor.

Buildings look, meh, there are particular areas like trees/plants they have clearly spent a bit of time on and others like general textures of "filler" items that litter particularly in city levels that mostly look terrible.

Some parts of the game can therefore look relatively good, others look pretty awful. The main thing is maxed out the performance vs visual quality is truly pathetic. Other games look significantly better, play smoother and perform significantly better.

Why do I feel unsurprised by this?

I really enjoyed MW1 and 2 out of Modern Warfare Series, but MW3 sucked, and this looks more of the same. I still can't bring myself to complete/play Black Ops 2 either as I was bored to tears.

I hope this so-called new engine is not going to be paving the way for more COD games to be based on it in the future, as the franchise really is like flogging a dead horse now. I won't be buying into it anymore.

For reference I've been using the following settings ingame (Basically unless I'm being thick I've pretty much maxed it out apart from maybe the AA could go better than 4xMSAA)

I tried to take a piccy close to the one above for reference, with the settings above mine looks like this:

Oh, and if anyone's interested here are a handful more screens from multiplayer maps, sorry they're not so interesting, I'm not the best at taking screenshots :p

While I've never been COD's biggest fan I have bought them all as I find them an easy game to play when time is limited and you just want a game to quickly jump into for 30 minutes.

Having said that this has to be not only the worst COD game to date but one of the worst games to date full stop.

It's virtually unplayable for me;

In multi-player the map takes about 60 seconds to load and the loading icon splutters along in fits and that's with my Steam library on a Samsung 840 Pro.

I've done all I can to remove the W8.1 mouse lag issue but it still persists in game and by the time you've spotted someone and moved the mouse to aim you're long dead.

Awful FPS/Performance - See sig for rig details but I can achieve 80-160 FPS at 1440P in BF4 @ Ultra but I can't get much more than 30-40 FPS in Ghosts?!? It feels, and plays, like you're watching an old 8mm movie which stutters along.

It's too late for me but to anyone considering buying this stay well clear.

As has been stated before...crossfire doesnt work with this game so take it off and your fps will double and you wont get many stutters

Nice looks good!

To bad this is true. There is no way I can play competitively with max settings at the moment as the FPS drop isn't worth the looks. Hopefully we get some new drivers to help this along.

I played an hour last night of this. My experiance is.. firstly it wouldn't load up...third time it did.. Massive stutters, sound drop outs and low fps....Disabled crossfire.. fps went up.. still get occasional stutters and sound drop outs lol.
Game maxed out looks okay.....After playing BF this looks poor in comparision. It looks very dated and with metro crysis 3 bioshock and BF i guess weve been spoiled this year.
it looks barely bettter than a ps3/360 game.
I seem to remember black ops looking better than this but its been a while since iv played that. The space mission just seemed really silly lol.

Unless it's because I'm viewing on my phone those screenshots just above look fine to me.

It certainly isn't the peak of graphics quality obviously, but CoD has never been about that.

This is just a case of everything in life being pretty damn awesome but no one is happy with anything anymore.

Crossfire is disabled. Marginally better performance but still awful FPS, stuttering and mouse lag.
