I flashed the 4.3 BTU UK file via Odin onto my network unlocked Three UK branded S4 today but the Knox warranty void flag is still showing 0x0, is this correct ?

Do the batteries need a few charges to get to their best on these ? Because in 23 minutes if web browsing at half brightness im 11% down which seems totally criminal

On the latest rom

You flashed an official package with Odin, so yep it should be. if you flash a custom rom/kernel etc now it'll void it

Wouldn't any flashing action from now on trip the flag count?

As James says, as long as it's official signed firmware packages it'll be ok. Although I have read of a few cases where it's tripped with stock, but you can never tell what someone inexperienced has inadvertently done. Anything non-official, root, custom-rom, kernel, recovery etc will trip it.

im using the omega rom but would like NFC working ive patiently waited 3 revisions of it and still luck.

Is there anyway of adding it?

So, is the s4 still worth buying? Or is a nexus 5 better value? Or would waiting for the s5 be a better idea? Sick of my iPhone 5 and it's many issues.

I've actually just changed my S4 for a N5. If I was buying now, I think I would choose the N5 over the S4, unless you specifically need the extra memory space from a 64GB card.

The only area the N5 is definitely worse (that I've noticed so far) is the speaker, it's just not as loud. That's not to say it's bad, but it's not as good as the S4's one. The screens are both great, obviously the colours are a bit more pronounced on the S4, but neither will disappoint anyone!

In general use the N5 is definitely quicker overall than the S4; apps load faster, pages load quicker etc, but it's only a second or two here and there. Nice when you notice it, but unlikely to be a deal breaker either way.

Thanks for the comparison there :) My only worry for the N5 is the battery. My friend has one and he's really struggling to get a day out of it even with light use. That and the fact that the N5 is out of stock :(

Loving my S4 at the moment and have Buzz Launcher installed.

I love the fact that I can change the way it looks with a few presses and it looks like a new device.

Shame it sucks a lot of battery in the process though, but I always get a full day out of it.
