It works fine as long as you don't start playing with experimental unfinished features from the developers menu ;)

Anyone else have it where in Hangouts if you have recieved text messages from people who are not in your contact list, then you import a bunch of contacts it doesnt show the name/picture when showing the list of texts? If you go into a text it shows the contact name and picture but it just shows a phone number and blank picture when viewing your list of texts. If you delete the text and then receive another one from that contact it shows the picture/contact name. Is this a small bug or do I have to do something for it to show?

If I add the contact from the text message it displays as it should too. It was just that I imported all my contacts after receiving a bunch of text messages so noticed this.

I dont think the gps is that great on these, not as good as nexus 4 and s3 , just been a run with runtastic, it went a bit astray on a few points.

I have it on high accuracy as well.

I also think the screen is a bit washed out as well like the n4 was.

Is the nexus 5 better than the S4 which is around the £400 mark?

I know the answer to that is subjective but I think most would simply buy the S4 at that price point.

The loudspeaker for one is really really poor and the positioning is woeful on the nexus 5.

Point being if you wanted more memory and are willing to pay £400 then the S4 already has that market covered.

This way they aren't directly competing with any other high end phone by keeping costs low, they simply are so much cheaper than the competition it makes them easier to distinguish.

Except it's not much cheaper - GS4 is £388.

IMO Nexus 5 looks better design wise than the S4 and it also gets updates quicker, and more stable AOSP ROMS. That's enough to for it to compete with the GS4. Camera's are on par too.

64GB N5 @ £399 would in high numbers sell easily.

Any reason to switch to this over HTC One?

No major improvement over the One - The One has a lot going for it.

the only real improvement over the ONE IMO is the camera the rest is not really worth upgrading for :) unless you really want stock android, quick updates and a bigger screen!

I don't think the camera on the N5 is a lot better than the One personally.

IMO One has a nicer screen and better speakers. GE ROM too.

A mixture of both phones would be immense :D
