At £1000 it would a huge amount of convincing to stop me going for the 456 deore build

double check with on-one but i think they take a "admin/processing fee of 10%" - on the c2w scheme

3. Why do I have to pay a 10% fee for ordering a bike with a cyclescheme.co.uk voucher, On Your Bike and Bike2work or a 12% fee for Cycle Plus or a 12.5% via the NHS SME HCI scheme?

We keep our prices competitive by selling at very low margins. All of these organisations charge us a fee on each bike we supply to a customer. So we don't have to add this fee to all our complete bike prices (for all non-cycle scheme customers) we've decided to pass this charge on to you. The additional charge DOES NOT APPLY if your employer is paying us direct for the bike.

Need a winter tyre, any recommendations? Needs to shed mud decently and grip on generally wet ground (forest riding, so lots of wet leaves at the moment).

Max size is 2.5 on the back and 2.4 on the front I think. I'm not 100% on max front size, forks are a set of 26" 2011 Reba RL.

Looking at max of £30-40 a tyre.

Went up to Glenlivet today. Quite possibly the best start to a trail Centre I have ridden. A blue route with a gentle climb then a fast swoopy decent that leads onto the red. It really got me hyped for what was to come. The best way to describe the rest of the trail is its like Golspie, but a lot easier. No big climbs and no steep descents. But it has some small drops and a small gap jump that you can hit very fast. There are 2 rock switchbacks that are tricky. Apart from that it's all very easy. The last section of blue trail that leads you back to the car park is boring as hell...until you get to the last few hundred meters which is awesome. The whole trail flows very very well. Some sections are what Glentress could have been, but it lacks the scale and diversity that make other trail centres so good. It's not overly technical which can be good if that's what you like. More of a beginners red trail.

Hi all. I've just bought an entry level hardtail 29er to start some off road action. I have lots of road cycling experience, but what would you say are the most important things to consider when starting out on a mtb? Any tips most welcome, cheers

Look far ahead of you, never look just in front of your front wheel.
Point your elbows out.
While descending, stand up and have your chin kinda over where the stem is (all the while looking far ahead, and pointing those elbows! :D).

Do all of these:

Is anyone here interested in a set of Spank Oozy 26AL EVO Complete wheels in Chrome?

http://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/Wheelsets,44/Spank/Oozy-26AL-EVO,11538

I was raving on about them a while ago. I accidentally ordered a few too many for a few builds we were putting together and can't send them back to my supplier any more.

We're not allowed to sell Spank in the UK, so just want to get rid of these at trade price (what we paid for them) for a brand new pair. Also hesitant to put them on Pinkbike, as my suppliers follow me.

15mm front, and 135mm rear (142mm adapter included)
You can get an adapter for the 15mm to convert to 20mm from CRC for £15.

Send me a PM if anyone's interested.

edit: Found them on CRC as a full build:

Sorry to come across as spammy, but also have a completely unused BOS Vip'r if anyone's interested.

Long story short - it was suppose to live on an Orange five for a while, while the Spitfire was in transit. Turns out the Five didn't turn up in time, and now hat the Spitty is here - it's won't fit. Bos made a mistake in their chart, and I didn't think to check Banshee's site at the time of ordering :(

190mm x 50mm in length / stroke
